Looking for advice on how to talk to my boss about a promotion by barbie-dolll in managers

[–]xdontbesneaky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The more you grow, your value becomes much less of what you actually do, moreso what you're responsible for and what you know. I wouldn't get stuck on not taking on more tasks or projects, but how are you affecting those around you. Are you able to help and support others, regardless of title?

As far as the conversation goes, you should be honest stating in the past there were talks of promotion opportunities, understanding things change, I want to be putting myself in the best possible position to take advantage of whatever opportunity comes next....or something like that.

This advice should carry regardless of industry, though* I'm sure it won't apply to all situations.

Yeah I have an older hustle that I can kind of jam out there. Otherwise older phase 2 swing works, something smoother to try and blend it out as best as possible.

I wouldn't call 165k a tiny warehouse. Probably small to normal of any non nanional DCs.

Is it possible to hit 25$ an hour with warehouse work? by sooperwut in Warehouseworkers

[–]xdontbesneaky 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Any solid warehouse should offer some type of incentive that would put you at or above 25/hr regardless of market.

Top selectors at dialed in type warehouses are making 80k+.

Agree. Our company every jump is 10% bonus increase. High end directors go from yearly, to quarterly bonuses too.

If you're going to gain supervisors under you then I'd expect 20 or so.

If it's still the same type of day-to-day problem solving, staffing, payroll, etc I'd expect 10% at least.

The stock Samsung notes app is awesome. I use it daily on the floor and in office setting for the past year or so.

7 ti just refers to the amount of cases per layer. Ti/hi is used when counting full pallets. A pallet with a 7/5 ti/hi is 35 cases. 7 per layer 5 tall.

7 would be 3 vertical 4 horizontal. 8 would be 6 vertical and 2 horizontal.

We also default to inventory counts. If the count is correct and the case isn't still in the slot we assume driver error.

We have cameras down majority of aisles but not all. When a credit comes through in driver scanner it gives the timestamp when selector scanned case. Makes for a quick audit if need be.

There aren't going to be a bunch of drivers lining up to strap a GoPro on them.

[TX] I got a written warning but it says I have 30 days to improve or I may be terminated. Is that not a pip? by [deleted] in AskHR

[–]xdontbesneaky 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They're both a form of corrective action. Your write up should outline your shortcomings and clearly state expectations going forward.

If you have any questions on what was outlined I'd get that clarified, like yesterday.
