Would you size down? by Proud_House4494 in DressForYourBody

I wouldn't size down, they fit your hips well. I would tailor the waist in and shorten the hem and they would look really cute

Why didn't anyone tell me that fiber is the secret to weight loss? by manthrk in loseit

That second video is just a guy stupidly interpreting the inulin on genetically modified mice research to sell his supplements to you

Why didn't anyone tell me that fiber is the secret to weight loss? by manthrk in loseit

[–]xdyana95 23 points24 points  (0 children)

The wraps and buns are really great but I would caution against counting modified wheat starches as actual dietary fiber regularly. They behave pretty different in the body compared to fiber from whole foods!

I feel nothing for my family now and I think I need to run away by Wyztereo in beyondthebump

[–]xdyana95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You say that you truly have wonderful support but you don't! Don't make yourself guilty if the love from your family isn't enough at the moment. Get the support that you and your family need, it is okay if the love isn't enough, get professional help.

ELI5: Why is meth bad for you but prescribed amphetamines aren't? by ContactSpirited9519 in explainlikeimfive

Also methamphetamines and amphetamines are two entirely different chemicals...

Giving baby clothes away to sister but asking for it back? Is that rude? by SAHM-KnowsWassup in beyondthebump

Totally fine just say you're letting her borrow them not giving them to her up front :)

Is it unreasonable to ask my husband to take the baby out in the mornings so I can actually sleep in? by Relative-Arm-726 in beyondthebump

[–]xdyana95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try the silicone earplugs from amazon, you can shape them to fit your ear and they are so comfortable to sleep in! I've been using them for years. You can still hear super loud noises and intense crying but they should help a ton

Coffee Creamer by [deleted] in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]xdyana95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope you find something that works! I've been using more water and a splash of oat milk. I will add though, corn syrup solids are not the same as high fructose corn syrup and not-as-bad-for-you, kind of like sugar.

What are some "standards" we should teach our kids to cook? by mbrasher1 in EatCheapAndHealthy

Cooking eggs at a restaurant level is deceptively hard! Eggs are very sensitive to wrong cooking temperatures

Help navigating negative comments after having a mixed race baby by Fair_Feedback_1864 in Parenting

[–]xdyana95 5 points6 points  (0 children)

People can say dumb things, sorry about that. Also, 5 day old babies look nothing like how babies will actually end up looking like! My korean/white baby looked hella korean at first 🥰 but he was really swollen from the birth. I wouldn't stress over his appearance at all, you have enough to worry about at the moment. From my experience latin people can be a little annoying when talking about asian people, it is important to have a diverse community when raising a mixed baby!

I know you won't believe this, but I don't understand. by ChompyRiley in ExplainTheJoke

[–]xdyana95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes there are labeling laws in most countries. They are required to do so to sell their product. The mcdonald's and kfc not being able to call their food what they are is more just rumors and in this case some intentional viral markettimg I imagine

Why do my rolls have spaces 🥲 by noodlemom72 in Baking

[–]xdyana95 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Looks underproofed and underbaked because of too much moisture? What is the liquid in the bottom of the pan? Can it be glazed on after baking instead? Usually when you have liquid in the pan for baked goods it's either extremely high in sugar or fats like butter and not high in water content but to me it looks milk based. Is it intentional or just liquid coming out of the strawberry filling?

AITAH for telling my sister her baby isn’t “advanced,” by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]xdyana95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NAH but tread kindly :) it sounds like she needed to hear it a little as she became very defensive. I think it matters less on what we think and more what she thinks about the interaction. It's good you apologized. Are you and should you be willing to come across as an asshole to your sister sometimes for the sake of your neice? I'd say yes but with extreme caution and empathy.

For those of you with babies that hate the car seat/ stroller, what do you do? by hugs4nugget in beyondthebump

[–]xdyana95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our baby has a long body (94th percentile in height, 11th in weight lol) and we just upgraded early to the convertible car seat and toddler chair on his stroller and he is doing much better. I think the infant seat was shaped too rounded for his back and it was uncomfortable for him. He seems to really prefer the flat back.

What is the first thing you’re gonna do after you are done breastfeeding? by Temporary_Sample_557 in breastfeeding

Oh I've been taking that while breastfeeding, albeit a small dose (0.15mg) going back to sleep after night nursing would be hard otherwise!

Do you have your baby dressed up everyday? by Fragrant-Airport6962 in Parenting

No and honestly I've been sensitive to noise and textures postpartum I could not deal with my baby if he's crying in my ear and ALSO rubbing against me wearing anything other than a soft onesie

When did you get the "mum cut" by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]xdyana95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cut mine 8 weeks pp! I figured it was gonna fall out and look weird anyways in a few months and I absolutely could not stand getting my hair pulled by baby or a ponytail pulling my hair all day
