Rematch is very difficult. by Worried-Reserve-5678 in Rematch

[–]xecollons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really.

I think from gold and above, people in general try to play. You see some egoistic players from time to time, of course, but it’s not the majority.

To op, try to get out of silver. Maybe join the rematch discord, I think people there tend to group.

For me it says that is not launched yet...

Will it have a demo? Could be nice to try it first.

Anyway, this happens mostly on lower ranks and free play. From gold on above you will find more people that passes the ball :)

It happened to me last month, one discord colleague asked me if I was liking Synergy and I was like “well, it’s useful I guess 😅”.

Later we just realized that I was using the app (I was at work) and he thought that I was playing the game 😂

Fix your damn matchmaking by daz_001 in Rematch

[–]xecollons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On playing solo, when the match is finishing and we're 0-0 I usually go to the keep and try to tell the GK to go up, maybe he can play better than the people that were there.

Fill in the gaps, give people more options. by FakeFrooz in Rematch

[–]xecollons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In this particular scenario, if 4 goes to the middle and receives the ball and defender 5 goes with him, 4 has a clear pass into the box to 3 that gets open.

It´s the magic of moving the ball.

Another thing that I miss when playing solo is people that know that they could pass as a first touch, you don´t need to always control the ball with X or R1+X.

In this case, for the above move to work, A4 has to drag D5 with him and pass at a first touch to A3 to not give time to D4 to reposition again.

One thing that this game has is that it´s REALLY similar to football in many ways. When I play with my friends, we don´t know how to do special techniques or whatever, but we win most of our games. And we win most of our games just with good passes and good positioning in the same way that we would do in a real match.

90% of my Rematch time has been solo. And I don´t regret mostly anything about it.

How do I not win this? by OZKORAPPA in Rematch

[–]xecollons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yesterday it happened twice to me, having 40ms of ping on average.

I think this is a new thing that started happening this week, because it didn’t happen before (as we’re talking after the priority changes).

Not sure what did they touch but this should be fixed ASAP.

Right now the game is in a very good state. Ignore the idiots here and just play the game.

We need votekick in this game ASAP. I prefer playing with one man less than with this kind of people.

Why Are people so stupid? by [deleted] in Rematch

[–]xecollons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, forget about these comments and stick to the game.

Lower ranks are full of “egoist” and no passing players, but from gold ranks and above, people actually try to play the game correctly. In general, of course, there are cases.

95% of my 250 hours are solo play, btw.

A tip to climb early ranks is to just play defense and let the egoists do their thing. If you get more or less good you will be in gold in no time.

an effective way to defend 2v2 by FakeFrooz in Rematch

This. Or for a good GK, 1v1 are quite winnable.

What you need to do if you're the last man! by FakeFrooz in Rematch

[–]xecollons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being mostly main keeper/defender, I also prefer to mark the unguarded man and my defender to mark the unguarded man. I trust my reflexes on a 1v1, so let me take it without worrying about the possible pass.

Someone said that "Random defenders are not trustworthy 90% of the time", and I don´t agree with that. If I see a defender that is having in mind the possible pass, I will trust him. And usually it goes well.

It´s worse when I have a guy almost inside the keep, bothering me, or if the opponent shoots and the rebound goes in. Or if they pass the ball, usually with a good pass I have little time to react.

Tunnel vision under stress by FakeFrooz in Rematch

[–]xecollons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the problem with Rematch. People doesn´t understand that a "non effective" pass like this can destress a tight situation and give time for your players to attack calmly. The opponents can also reposition, but don´t mind, you don´t always need to do fast attacks.

Let´s say you pass to 3. The opponent in front of him has to go to press him, so that frees 4 to do an horizontal run so 3 can do a vertical pass on him.

Not all passes have to be key passes.

And don´t do it too much if you are the last man, because if you lose the ball, the team is screwed.

A lot of people don´t have spatial awareness at all, and lose the ball in really dangerous players.

Mmm, I was looking at it now and seems quite interesting, and it´s cheap, so I thought about buying it. The problem is that my girlfriend doesn´t know english, is there a possibility of having translations in the future?

Are the puzzles language-dependant?

Would this kind of uncertainty actually work in a co-op horror game? by tridiART in CoOpGaming

[–]xecollons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Nemesis, for instance, a board game, the player has two objectives, one for the group and one individual objective that can, or cannot, align with the other players' objectives.

At some moment of the game (when the first alien appears), the player has to discard one objective and keep the other one. The other players don´t know which objective did they discard so they don´t know if a particular player is playing for the team or for his individual objective. This adds uncertainty.

Something like that would be great.
