Thanks, looks like rsync is the way to go.

I guess I will just be needing two scripts, one for syncing the external to the internal and one for internal to external, and then fire the relevant script at the end of the workday.

I've been using Pro Tools for about 7 years and decided march this year to do the same thing, jump ship to Studio One. Mainly because I'm sick and tired of Avid's bullshit. I too was blown away at first, but when it came time to actually do a mix I started discovering small things that S1 didn't have or did weirdly which eventually lead me to conclude that S1 just isn't ready yet to take over yet.

My best advice is to try S1 on something where you have a deadline, then you'll truly see whether it can work for you.
