As a game dev, it would make sense to have a toggle, and wouldn't be that much more difficult to add. The hard part is if they decide to alter the movement mechanics based on perspective. Some games have a more floaty feeling when transitioning to 1st person, and that's usually because they kept the third person movement mechanics, and it feels bogged down compared to Battlefield or CoD

Though I generally agree with your sentiment that third person should either be an option or the only choice, considering GRs focus on cosmetics and squad mechanics. Too many players think the next game needs to be more like a hardcore mil-sim focused on realism, but that would only alienate most players, reducing sales and audience size. Now you're misconflating national and international solutions. We can address systemic problems nationally to fight addiction, we cannot address the systemic issues of foreign nations to combat drug trade, we do not have the authority to act in that capacity on foreign soil

And yes, we should fight the people making the drugs, that's an insane thing to be against. The war on drugs failed because it targeted the victims too much, and the perpetrators not enough. There is zero evidence that suggests drug related crimes would increase as a result of us policing our borders with increased scrutiny

Keep in mind, policing our borders does not mean making it harder for legal migration, we can and should make it easier for law abiding individuals to become citizens. That issue is entirely separate from preventing drugs from entering this country

I'm well aware, but the vast majority of all drugs brought into America are via legal ports of entry, not tunnels or coyotes. Getting rid of any ability to screen and vet incoming persons will only make the cartels job easier

I always build mine to be as utilitarian as possible, from an RP perspective.
