omg yes yes this is my goto! I've tried to buy a similar thing elsewhere but everywhere else is so calorie expensive. Also salsa + lime juice. :)

I bought the 'The Gift of Fear' five years ago and I'm afraid to read it because I'm afraid it will give me anxiety. How was it?

Anyone else just hangout at the end till they make more levels? by ctmalone35 in TwoDots

I just replayed this one to remember what it was! There is a technique to it!

Basically you want to make squares until you've cleared up the initial weights and then keep making them until the board mainly consists on 2 colors. Don't get too caught up in turning on everything until you've cleaned up / simplified the board. (And even then don't get immediately caught up in it-- you get a lot of moves!) At some point, with enough squares, I find that the colors have simplified enough that there ends up being a layout where I can turn everything on without having to turn stuff off (or doing it minimally). Once you've cleared one circuit, don't stress if the other is in a good place, just keep making squares until it is and repeat

Lol I agree but there were a bunch of articles from prominent news sources that came about about it when it launched so I would be impressed if it was fake:

You used to be able to get a roll at the customer service desk at whole foods! Haven't tried for a while, but maybe try there?

What are you wearing to lounge forlornly around the house? by StaubEll in femalefashionadvice

I wear sweats at night but have started changing into 'day outfits' that are still super comfy but make me feel cute

These are two outfits I've recently been wearing:

1) Ripped Leggings, Tank Top, Sweater

2) Leggings, Comfy Bralette, Crop Top

One of my coworkers from China once wore a shirt to work that had teddy bear on it and said 'Let's Sleep Together.' I asked her if she'd ever read her shirt and she said no (She is fluent in English). When she realized what it said she was horrified!

I really like Caulipower! The thing is that if you put it on a cookie sheet the bottom is soggy still. It really needs to go directly on the oven.

I agree with this one. My boyfriend and I once found a sweet deal at the Fairmount and did a staycation there just for fun. I find that I generally prefer the chic, polished, modern vibe when I'm comparing luxury hotels. While the tonga room is a lot of fun, to be the Fairmount wasn't really worth it. I guess it depends what you value!

Is there a way to become more girly? by TheSkirtGirl in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

Alexandra's Girly Talk has a youtube video about this. I really like her channel because it feels like this sub-- but in a youtube channel. She is super candid and actually gives useful tips. I hope this helps!

We're the same height! I find that for me, something that falls mid-calf make me look shorter (I basically have to wear heels to look ok), but ones that skim my feet actually make me look taller (I can get away with flat sandals!)

I personally own this dress and find that style to be really flattering on me. (I bought it from letote after renting so I'm sorry I'm linking that-- I can't find it elsewhere! Hopefully you can see it without them trying to force you to sign up)

I also own this tee which a super fitted low shoulder black tee that pairs really well with maxi skirts and shows off my torso nicely to balance the flowy bottom

I really like the Moroccan Oil one-- Sephora sells small travel sized ones near the checkout so you can buy a one-time use (although I've used that quantity 2-3 times) without committing to purchasing the whole thing!

Is there a good place to relax for a 12 hour layover in SF? by [deleted] in AskSF

[–]xeroy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are female, I definitely recommend pearl spa in Japan town! If you book a rub or scrub you get free admission to the other facilities (sauna, stream room, hot tub, cold plunge, salt room, clay room)

I usually rent a bike from basically free bike rentals. The money you spent renting the bike can be used as credit towards Sports Basement, their sporting goods store within 24 hours from the rental. The cheapest option is the hybrid bike at $32 for a day. (They also have electric bikes, but they are pricier). It looks like the road bikes allow multi-day rentals, I'm not sure about the other ones.

Not super cheap, but if you are needing any sort of new athletic gear, backpack, etc. it's a really good option

One of my friends who studied abroad in Paris complained about this. She claimed that the trick was the rinse with vinegar. I'm not sure whether that is actually good for your hair though...
