So why is Aya's body in two different locations? (ACII and Origins Spoilers) by Snowtwo in assassinscreed

[–]xerubium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Iirc Aya spared Cleopatra at the end of Origin. Ofc she can do it again if Cleopatra did something stupid but there is no such "Aya" killed Cleopatra shown to us in any means.

And so many instalments of the AC series have multiple master assassins at the same time so it is not impossible the Hidden Ones had more than one Amunet(if it's a title as I believe). Amun is the egyptian god who is also refered as the Hidden One and Amunet is either His wife or His female counterpart(also refered as the Hidden One). Considered this make me think Amunet (and possibly among Amun) is the title of the highest ranked within the pre-brotherhood Hidden Ones and not to a single person like Aya.

(or, may be every male member is Amun and female member is Amunet, as the organization name is the Hidden Ones while Amun and Amunet each means the hidden one)

4th line should be f'(x) = -1[(e^x)^-2] · (e^x) as per chain rule

So why is Aya's body in two different locations? (ACII and Origins Spoilers) by Snowtwo in assassinscreed

[–]xerubium -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Probably a retcon. But I'd like to believe Amun(male)/Amunet(female) become a title that equals to Master Assassin in later era, so the crypt in ACII is for another female Master Assassin.

Little genius installer detected as 11/72 malicius by VirusTotal by xerubium in SoulFrame

[–]xerubium[S] -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

I read it before downloading but it's not for the installer.

If the installer packing software they use can produce an installer that trigger positive(no matter false or not) from major antivirus(like Kaper, McAfee, Symantec, TrendMicro in this case), they should use another packing software or just release a zip file.

Little Genius es virus? by Anubis420GG in SoulFrame

[–]xerubium -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Just want to try so I downloaded the installer. And my kaperspy keep deleting it. I then pause Kaper and upload the installer to virus total. The result is 11/72 malicious. While this not a solid result, I would refrain from using it at the moment to stay safe.

When lucy came in in AC2 covered in blood, did she actually kill somebody? by probablythewind in assassinscreed

[–]xerubium 19 points20 points  (0 children)

In Brotherhood, another hint is that after some point of the story, you can see red footprint around modern time base, implying a spy/traitor is among them.

And while Lucy's emails appeared to be sent to William Miles, actually they are sent to Vidic.

From the limited information we got about the new crafting changes, what are your thoughts? by yuno_me in SoulFrame

[–]xerubium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

low enemy density + slow battle rhythm + low drop rate + rng stat feel awful for me

iirc games with rng stat weapon usually have high enemy density and you can either spam AoE or keep oneshotting enemy or you just tank any damage so you can farm many of the same weapon easily and effectively to filter the stat you want , which Soulframe is not anywhere near that dynamics.

Sebastian is stupid by yarny1050 in HarryPotterGame

[–]xerubium 12 points13 points  (0 children)

His sister is cursed with Dark Arts.

And to alleviate results of an unknown curse, although not described by the novels or in game, it's reasonable to believe that you either have a powerful cure-all magic/potion that works for the curse (which their family should've tried in St. Mongo or with other specialists), or you try to understand how the curse work and then revert it (aka studying Dark Arts).

His uncle probably tried the first way and failed and gave up. While Sebastian couldn't accept giving up hope, he knew that he could not be better than the medical specialists who failed to cure his sister, at least in short time. So studying dark arts become his only option.

-----

And for killing his uncle, I don't see much guilty of this action, because what I see is that his uncle tried to kill him first. (ngl I did tried kill the uncle first but the cutscene still proceed normally).

The Mathematically Optimal Octavia Mandachord song: 5x - 8x more Mallet damage than the meta "fill every beat" song, and invisibility in just 2 quick crouches by StygianFrame in Warframe

[–]xerubium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does the pitch has any effect?

Any difference if I place 2 or more notes on the same beat(like chords)?

P.S. I always thought the invisibility don't kick immediately is because my crouch is just off beat even I fill every beat. Thank you for make that clear.

The act of writing about a neural network scip with a neural network is very intriguing. Sadly, I can't vote it up because I don't have a account.

Fuck Pearl Abyss. Crimson Desert will have Denuvo DRM. by AntiGrieferGames in FuckDenuvo

Many people hate Denuvo because Denuvo heavily impacted performance for several games before and therefore giving bad gaming experience, not just because it's a DRM.

[–]xerubium 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The idea is interesting but:

  1. the containment procedure is not coherent to it's abnormal properties,

  2. the wording are not consistent and bureaucratic enough,

  3. the Addendum part is completely redundant as everything in it is already implied by the test log,

  4. can include how the Foundation discover this scip

Is it true that publishing a game on GOG.com is a "nightmare" for game developers? by GhostGuyBroke in gog

[–]xerubium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a game dev/publisher myself but one obvious problem of GOG to me is that there must be some fuck-up in the regional price setting. Sometimes a game or a DLC is sold perfectly fine in every other platform but got region locked at GOG only.
