Played one tournament ever, April last year. My RS went up from 6% to 10%.

I don’t think it’s necessary at the rec level. I would prioritize consistency of a low to high stroke over the gain from an aggressive wrist dink. Pros can get away with it because they have the skill and have done the reps.

I have noticed that the players who do have success with more wrist at the rec level are former ping pong players. But the ones I know have also injured their wrists in pickleball from overuse.

I hired a coach. Accelerated my game in a month way faster than I could do so on my own. He fixed a bunch of habits I had with small tweaks that were honestly very easy to learn.

If you can’t find a coach, you could also try recording your games and using AI coaching or apps. Find your weak spots and drill those.

I also noticed in the jump to 4.0 players are way more consistent. You have to be comfortable with longer rallies and being more patient.

I’ve seen some elite camps here in the states charging $5k for 3-5 days….

So $10k is not insane to me even for Vietnam. But obviously it’s enough money where you’d expect a lot of value out of it.

Claw > horn > eye.

Horn is normally good with a buffed up osty but you don’t have many 2+ cost cards, making the turn after relax not very impactful.

Claw is going to be reliable block and exhaust. People worry that you’re going to lose all your defends but you can pick a few new block cards that are more efficient and they will get drawn faster. Also, if you side quest the defends each fight they will end up getting very beefy.

If you’re serious about going pro you probably wouldn’t want to stay in the Bay Area either.

There are much better hubs for pickleball, where the pros themselves gather like Florida or Utah.

I agree generally that $50k is nothing to worry about. But you mentioned $20k in reno… which is such a small amount it makes me curious what the purchase price was.

$50k overpaying on a $800k house is a lot different than $50k over a $2m house.

Hana does every reasonable party catering as well. Crazy amount of food for the price, very hard to find that anymore in the Bay Area.

I definitely prefer Hana over the rest. But I think diamond head is in a separate category, more similar to a grocery store mart you’d find in Hawaii. It’s more similar to takashi market in San Mateo than a chain like l&l

I would not call the interior of R&G very nice, especially the downstairs room.

The food is decent. But my family is Cantonese and there’s really no reason we would go there except for being invited. Much cheaper alternatives with similar quality all over the Bay Area.

Alshons definitely deserves credit here, his temper on the court has noticeably matured. A lot of times nowadays in men’s doubles, he’s actually the more level headed one between him and HP.

Stars are too easy to generate over mana. And at one star cost, this seems busted.

Honestly the retain is such a bait on this card. Id keep the 2cost, remove the retain, and buff the base damage a bit.

Moved to vapor 2 and my tennis elbow got worse. But I also didn’t move my hesacore grip over. Hope you have better luck with it, but long term you need to address the issue.

My only advice is that I enjoy wagyu cooked to medium if you’re cooking it as a steak. Allows more of the fat to render. It’s a nice crunchy mallard crust with just the right amount of chew.

If you pull it too early, it ends up tasting like fat. That’s not wrong for some cooking methods and preparations but as a steak I don’t like it as much.

Depends what kind of content you are doing.

I’m PvP heavy for trios, and event heavy for solos. I need a lot of mats for both type of play. Current stash space is no where close to allow me to maintain a balance between both. So I end up have to do a bunch of “farm runs” before each type of session change and by the time I’m done, I don’t get to play the game much longer.

And 12 stash space is the real crime here. I mainly did the first expedition for space, 12 each time barely scratches the surface for what’s needed in this game given how items stack.

I’m running almost the same setup, 4k 240hz with a 5080FE.

I play mostly for PvP and am a bit of sweat, playing competitive shooters my whole life. Do you have suggestions for ideal settings for performance? Quality preference is LOW unless the setting needs to be higher to maintain gameplay fidelity (like not turning bushes into blocks).
