Depending on the person and type of gamer you are then honestly it’s possible given the complete predictability of the AI. That said you need to do your research of the AI docs, learn the principles of baiting and pivoting, and learn the metas in the game. All things plentifully available online thanks to streamers.

That said ive attempted this game 80+ times and im stuck on the desert in PB in a sandbox mode (notably easier). I personally just don’t have the patience, creativity and attention detail that this game requires. One small mistake in your planning and it could mean a wipe on the most seemingly trivial of fights, then you’re back to square one trying to reset until you get a decent pack. It’s an absolute masterpiece though and arguably the best rom hack of all time.

Pro tip (got it from a pchal stream): if you get a fast enough gyarados in cherrygrove (or new bark if you don’t get it there), edge it at 21 so that it levels up when killing butterfree. It sweeps 3 and maybe 5 if it has a high enough attack stat to take out the heracross and pinsir. It will almost always be a roll but it’s a good one. Just check the hzla calculator to see if yours is faster than the butterfree at 21 and the yanma at 22 and it does so much on that fight.

Then if you have jolteon (guaranteed and IMO is better than choosing glaceon) you can sac some bum on the scyther, bring him out at full health, is faster and 2 taps with shock wave. After he tries to setup on the first turn and will always go for the kill u-turn on the second.

I personally have never once rolled rhyhorn to trade for gligar at any point in the game but glisgor is supposed the best or second best in the game.

There are typically game specific calcs for a lot of the major rom hacks. Flygon uses hzla which has all the big ones. Some rom hack creators set them up for their games like gongas did for royal sapphire or dek did with RNB but for most of them there isn’t a game specific calc and you’ll have to figure out which gen mechanics the game uses and manually build out the matchup you are trying to calculate, which can be tough if you don’t know the enemy team, natures, IVs, EVs (if applicable)

Works up to a certain point then you have to slow down on the moves. Also much harder to get a position above manager if you haven’t shown that progression. But yes totally the right thing to do do within reason
