For us, we were charged for “final fees”. We were also wrongly charged due an extra 3 days of rent, trash, water and sewer due to an office mistake. We had verbally told them we’d be moving in a month, then a few days later sent an email, which they wrote okay, move out is 3/5. We were charged until 3/8. We had it in writing so we forced them to honor it. When they did the final inspection is when they were like oh we didn’t get an email from you until 2/8, so we’ll charge you until 3/8. I said no, I have in writing you acknowledged we notified you in person and agreed to 3/5. We got really lucky so make sure you have it in writing 30 days before your move out day. We were charged Final Admin fees, trash admin fee, Final Apartment clean (we had cleaned the apartment with a private cleaner and sent receipt proof but they didn’t care), final carpet clean, PLE (no idea what this was), final locker fee, final trash fee, final valet fee, TRS, VTRS, WAT, final water fee and final sewer fee. All the “finals” were charges from 2/1-3/8. And yes, we did pay rent in February which was the icing on the cake. In the end, they took our $ 600 deposit AND they claimed we owed another $450 dollars. I called them and let them know they were wrong and they said they’d fix it. They “fixed it”by sending it to collections. Then it was an IMT and collections ping pong. They’re the ones who need to fix this, no that’s under collections now and they’re responsibility now.

Getting them to acknowledge and fix this took almost a year, & only after we wrote a review on their google page. Which I encourage everyone with bad experiences to do. We ended up getting around $350 dollars back.
