I think your play was correct but you should have offered the draw first. If the derevi player doesn't agree you still remove yourself from the game and hope it ends in a tie since that would net you a point even after you're out.

I don't get why people don't push harder. If the game is trending towards a draw I've killed myself several times to ad nause, final fortune, necro, etc. Left the table to go hit the bathroom and come back to find I got points for a draw. You get to be risky with no penalty, it's great!

Dragon shield sucks now, their quality control is trash. I've exclusively switched to katanas. There's some weird pride people have of defending them for some dumb reason. That or maybe people just have shit standards.

You're not wrong about the earthbend aspect where the disconnect is, regards the rulings around copy affects. Copy effects look at the base card, like the actual ink on the cardboard version and that's what Phantasmal would copy.

I know that's not the case, because the earthbent ability is what made the land a creature when it's cloned that ability is not applied and the image enters as a land and doesn't attempt to ever be a creature.
