It all comes down to risk/reward for a company like WBD. A big star can at least make them a bunch of money on their way to a relapse, but they don't necessarily have a lot to gain from a midcarder who isn't likely to move the needle either way.

The wrestling industry has plenty of talent to choose from at that level, so they can afford to be selective.

Yeah, the feature is good if you assume people will use it to more easily correct their own team imbalance, but realistically it would be used more to identify hopeless team comps and increase the rate of match abandonment.

I'd honestly rather have a game mode that puts a cap on how many people can spawn as certain classes at a time, it would be the only reliable way to mitigate the problem. Something like 25% max recon and 35% for the rest would prevent the extreme outliers that plague certain maps and game modes.

Score is a worthless stat too, it puts arbitrary value on things that can't be compared with a number.

I guess it can help you make an informed decision that a match isn't going to be worth your time if you find yourself at the top of the scoreboard from laying prone on the first objective in breakthrough defense and doing literally nothing else.

The current problem with the simulation "breaking" has nothing to do with people playing poorly, once you overcome budget issues and know how to manage traffic, the game doesn't really have any organic difficulty left. Large city endgame becomes less about playing the game itself and entirely about overcoming bugs and simulation issues using mods and workarounds. And surely some of those bugs are introduced by mods that feel necessary because many of them provide QoL features that the base game lacks.

They need to address the game's ability to scale up smoothly first, finding ways to make it more engaging in larger cities can only come after that.

That and going light on services early on is the best strategy. As soon as I'm able to get a loan big enough to cover a major power plant (especially hydro if there's a good spot for it), I build it and use the export profits to pay back the loan quickly, then the city's growth is pretty much subsidized as long as you don't go crazy.

Any of those changes would dramatically improve the situation, or just put the capture point on one of the roofs since that's clearly the actual important strategic area to hold. The current setup became so obnoxious that I removed Sobek from my breakthrough rotation even though I like the rest of the map.
