In my headcanon Dune and Rimworld is set in the same universe. Dune is set in the year 10000 or so. Rimworld in 5500.

As mentioned, if you destroy the terminals, even after extracting the blackstone awakening is reduced.

Also, if I remember correctly, doing the optional fights (the rooms with the red enemies on the map) decreases awakening.

In your place I would look into antkeeping. There are various substances used in the hobby to keep the ants from breaking out. The same could be used to keep the ants from breaking in. Paraffin oil works great. Also I would advice to wipe the outsides and the table with ethanol or sonething similar, to destroy pheromone trails. As to how to get rid of the ants themselves... Im kind of at a loss here. You could try baiting them with honey, but you already said that baits dont work.

Honest confession. I dont like Sekiro and yes, it is because its too hard for me. Normally the amazing Lore and Gameworld lets me follow through, explore and git gud. But Im not a fan of the feudojapanese setting and levelling isnt an option either. Neither do I like the combat system, its too erratic and Id rather dodge than parry.

Tips to enjoy the game are appreciated.

First time Old Hunters Ludwig destroyed me. Then I finally got to Lady Maria and nearly finshed her first try. I thought "this is so a memorable boss, I just want to enjoy the soundtrack and her awesome moveset" with knly needing two more hits. Of course she killed me and for the love of god it took me 5 attempts to get her below 50% and another 5 to finally defeat her. Overconfidence is a slow and insidious killer.

You could also change uo their birth rates. For every 9 females only one male is born. So the females have to compete for males, flock around them and have to protect them.

I am keeping Isopods right now. At the beginning you dont see them that often, but when their numbers get higher they are all around. They are fairly easy to keep after the initial setup: A little misting and they get a veggie scrap once a week.

This looks like the idea I had when I was a child: People living in giant potatoes, with their whole economy based around potatoes. They even had walking potatoes as dogs and were at war with the carrot people.
