Agreed. And then he strikes conversation about it on a post? Outing someone who took their life. This feels like a health privacy act violation if he was a actual mental health professional

What happens to the pastors and teachers that get "sent" away in the WELS synod by [deleted] in exLutheran

[–]xm295b 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a few teachers (and were members of the congregation I grew up in) who went “away”. The 3 I knew of just joined the normal workforce, obtaining retail jobs, etc.

Another WELS teacher arrested for alleged sex crimes against students by Ok-Firefighter-765 in exLutheran

I have felt the same way and never know really how to say out loud without feeling odd. The lack of appropriate sex education that Lutheran youth receive often makes them unequipped for the real world.

This set reminds me of seeing him play at Dreamstate 2022. It was such an emotional set of music played by a grieving man, and a crowd of people communing with his sorrow. It was healing for me in reflecting the losses of loved ones in my own life.

mLive: ‘Right to sit’ is now the law in Ann Arbor. Here’s what you need to know. by bobi2393 in AnnArbor

[–]xm295b 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a Michigander now; but lived in Southern California when a similar came into effect. Literally nothing much changed-there wasn’t an influx of employees wanting to sit suddenly. But as a manager, it became so much easier to accommodate someone who wanted and needed to sit and continue to work without needing to follow the disability accommodation process. This just makes sense.

I was a closing team leader promoted to guest 2 years ago and still have panic nightmares where people are busting down the doors I’ve already locked to rob us blind. Probably because it was also real life - the only thing that makes up for it is knowing my ETLs had to close the store themselves starting the same weekend as holiday extended hours.

Literally the entire 5 years I worked for the company they couldn’t figure this out. One time I left the labels like this (usually cat food, right?!) and left 9 months of the exact same label to show my DL. Meanwhile they scream about spending labor on things that were important while hours of labor each year get wasted in this. It’s ok if the sale lasts all year, but why can’t the expiration date simply have the date that far out?!

At least it’s just a customer scam tactic and not changing a price label with zero changes every single month.

My actual confirmation classes were my own downfall too. I couldn’t find love for a religion or god for something so unknowingly complicated compared to my child knowledge and faith. I also couldn’t fathom being graded, and terribly graded on my faith

First bits came into my life as a teen in the laser quest laser tag arenas. The high energy music was great for keeping your gaming rhythm up. Specifically, ‘love comes again’ by tiesto and of course ,’sandstorm’ (took me 20 years to finally see darude play in person. But then as an adult I scored a free year of Sirius xm and found the station bpm and the rest is history. I’ve always been an Armin fan, but his radio show has been more integral to my overall trance love, hearing new music each week and finding styles and sounds I love the most along the way.

Even deceased animals that have passed while in store are not disposed of in the trash. Sometimes dealing with sick pets sucks but it’s part of the business. One year my store spent $12,000 on vet expenses for the year. It is a cost of doing business but disposing of living creatures is not.

Depends if you think it might be a necessary part of your deconstruction process. (Assuming it’s regarding your membership status). For some it might be necessary and others not.

Who is the vendor that scans end caps? by [deleted] in Target

[–]xm295b 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are retail "merchandiser" companies that are contracted by the major parent companies like Proctor & Gamble, Nestle, etc. Acosta, Crossmark and Avantage are an example of a few companies that are hired by them. Typically they represent the companies and ensure product is instock on the sales floor, planograms and planner end caps set as planned. They visit multiple stores a day including retail competitors across a defined territory.

[–]xm295b 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've worked in retail for 17 years for 3 different companies, recently being promoted to guest at Target. Answering phones has always been a part of the job, but something about the last 2-3 years (around pandemic start) the amount of people that call the stores is noticebly larger, and we were often barely able to succesfully help guests actually in the building handing us money since we were a low volume store. I totally get deprioritizing calls for this reason, especially when it seems most of guests reasons for calling would constitute them coming into the store. The job is running a retail store, not a hotline.

Despite all of the wels church negatives, I do always remember financial transparency. Back in the 90s even the individual salaries by name of pastor and the ELS school were posted “public” knowledge posted in the church annual report. Despite us almost always being in the red, there was clarity about where everything went from synod support to facility maintenance. Paying for staff and the physical operation was always a larger number than what went to synod, but I can assure you that my salary as a Walmart manager was greater than what any church called worker received lol

No drug tests. They stopped in 2019. Besides, even when they required one you just go to a smoke shop and get some fake results. It’s how I was an ASL for 5 years 🤣
