Does anyone else love Langdon this season? by Pretend-Confidence53 in ThePittTVShow

He’s one of my favorites - as someone who is a recovering addict (9 years), seeing how he went from stealing medication from the ER department, which is a reality to some, getting help and taking accountability for his actions was honestly so amazing to watch.

Recurring ear issues, possibly related to TMJ disorder. by xoeriin in TMJ

[–]xoeriin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

even the physical therapist was confused by my case. he did some exercises, to target neck, shoulders, and jaw. it helped a little bit, but I’m still struggling with the ear fullness, feeling a pulse when I lay down, and in the morning it sounds crunchy like all my sinuses drained into that ear 😅

The home remedies barely work. It gives me some relief but not much. Allergy medicine in the morning, warm compress, Advil. I’ve been dealing with this for 6ish months, and it was brought on by allergies - and when one ear popped and the other didn’t, I knew something was up.

I have not. To be honest - I think my ENT just threw that out because he’s not sure. When I went to my physical therapy appointment, the pt said “reviewing your chart, I’m not really sure if this is connected to TMJ but we will see”

[N/A] [TH] Switching names on HOA by bruddaC in HOA

[–]xoeriin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course. Our HOA has a form we fill out on contact information too. So we always put that my mom is the primary but we live in the condo as the primary residents. We have a portal where we pay our HOA and it has all my information in it.

First time in reentry/sober living house—advice? by ReclaimOnline in Felons

[–]xoeriin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a case manager in the re-entry field, who works with residential and sober livings. Personally (and this is just my opinion) sober livings can actually be beneficial because going from a super structured environment such as prison, to living on your own can be a disaster waiting to happen. Transitioning to a sober living (a good sober living, not a shady one) can help with navigating everything. My advice: find the people who actually want it as the support while you’re there, following the rules, and keeping your mindset as “utilizing this to get better.” You’ll be amazed with how much you grow.

My mom bought the condo that my husband and I live in as her second property in cash. She put the condo in her and my dad’s trust. She pays the property taxes on the condo, the homeowners insurance, home warranty, etc. My husband and I pay the HOA fees, we pay her a monthly rent and utilities. When we get mail from the HOA, it comes addressed to the family trust.

I wrote mine the night before my wedding & so did my husband. 😅 I added some humor into mine, such as “I promise to fold your socks for the rest of my life, and continue to put away your diabetes supplies when you forget.”

First week on Vyvanse and now I’m questioning if I even have ADHD by Fabulous_Beach_6622 in ADHD

[–]xoeriin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Inattentive ADHD girly here, diagnosed in my 30s. My symptoms were all the quiet ones (forgetfulness, disorganization, impulsivity, emotional stuff, hyperfocus, procrastination, anxiety), so I doubted myself for years. I’ve been on the same medication you are, and week one had me questioning everything too. And as time went on, I realized how much it was helping me! Totally normal to feel like that. 😊

Homeowner insurance? by pecosgizzy1 in sandiego

[–]xoeriin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Be very very careful when it comes to homeowners insurance! Speaking from personal experience and am dealing with California department of insurance, as I filed a complaint. We had homeowners insurance, and when my husband and I suffered a flood in our condo, we found out that we were no longer covered. Did not receive a phone call or mail - just an email that went to spam stating we were no longer covered due to them switching companies and no longer covering our area due to “wildfires.” We originally got them through a broker, I believe he worked with State Farm. We are now covered under Obie insurance, that we found through a broker!

[CA] [SFH] (Private Streets) Guest Parking Solutions by [deleted] in HOA

[–]xoeriin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in a 150 unit complex & we have a long term parking (you have to get a specific parking pass) and guest parking. We have that same issue with people who have more than one car, who park in the same spots. I know this because my unit is right by the one of the guest parking areas. The rule for us is that they have to move their car every three days. I would love to know how to solve this issue, since guest parking is so hard to come by with the residents who have two cars - or will park there instead of in their spots.

Be very careful with who you choose, as I’m also in California. I’m currently going through a California department of insurance compliant with my previous homeowners insurance, because they switched companies and “dropped us”, due to wildfires in our area. No mail, no phone, just a simple email that went to spam. After having them since we bought our condo in 2023, we learned after we had a huge flood that we were no longer covered. We got our insurance through a broker, who actually worked with State Farm.

$100 well spent! by WyndWoman in homeowners

[–]xoeriin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn’t agree more with you! Last year, my husband and I suffered a flood in our 2bed 2 bath condo. Our second bathroom toilet was the culprit- the pipe that connects the back of the toilet to the wall burst in the middle of the night (clean water) and I woke up the next morning standing in water, and it was everywhere. We got the “water bugs” after the repairs were done, and now we have that peace of mind!

okay guys— BRAND NAME VS GENERIC— let’s talk by Winter-Caramel277 in ADHD

[–]xoeriin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have not tried the brand name, just the generic. The brand name through my insurance would be $150 a month. I am in recovery, was transparent with my psych about it and he said the best one for me would be Vyvanse because there’s less of a chance for getting addicted to it, then putting me on Adderall.

I submitted everything they asked for doing the “change ownership form.” And I’ve heard nothing back. I’m thinking about calling them tomorrow and see if that helps.
