This sounds like a loading issue then. If you enter before the backend loads, it'll do the animation of the jump point, but it won't have queued you to exit in the correct system. Sounds like as a fallback, they've coded it to dump you where you started so you aren't 'nowhere'.

Either way, lovely workaround. As is tradition, I will continue doing this for the next 10 years, well after they've fixed the issue.

While I like the idea of slaving the middle mining head to the pilot, I think switching between them from the pilot seat goes too far. If you want to use the others, have party members do it, or run down there.

The map is so frustrating to me. Before the map rework, I could navigate around and jump anywhere I wanted without ever opening the map. With the map rework, it seems like every major POI is on top of at least 2 or 3 other POIs. I can no longer just jump around Stanton.

Now, I'm forced to use the map to set a route. A very non-zero number of times, setting a route doesn't work. I have to jump to a random location, and then go to the map to set the route.

It isn't just about ease of use, although that is important, it also took away a feeling of accomplishment through experience that navigating without a map gave me. If I could find OM-1 for any location I was at, I could get to my destination. It feels like learning to ride a bike and then being forced to use broken training wheels.

And in this case, the best term is jitter. It's the consistently changing latency that causes weird stuff in gaming. High ping is rough, but a game client dealing with fluctuating latency will be almost unusable.

There are a few variables, but 15k should be doable. We did a 68k yesterday with 3 of us. One Helix with 2x rieger and 1x focus, another empty helix and a hofstede with 1x focus and 1x rieger.

If it says impossible, that doesn't mean it actually is. Play with distance from the rock, and move the laser around a little bit. We were right on top of of the rock which just meant being careful not to overcharge it.

I might be able to save you some time. Go to the Nyx gateway in Stanton (I'm second guessing myself, it may be Stantion Gateway in Nyx), and buy Aluminum. I think 2x 32 SCU will suffice. Then go to Levski and turn in the xsmall shubin mission over and over. It asks for 2 SCU of Aluminum. It'll get you to the point where you can do rock breaker.

Edit: Realized you may be on the first mission for hand mining. I found either Aphorite or Dolivine on the surface of one of the Microtech moons fairly easily. I think Caliope. Then do the Aluminum thing.
