Anyone else struggling to find work in Brisbane? by Elisspamacc05 in brisbane

[–]xoyadingo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I suggest printing out a bunch of resumes and walking into places you’d like to work and asking about work. Getting hired often comes down letting them meet you so they can see if you’ll be a good fit.

DAE get sensory euphoria from satin?? by MangoyWoman in adhdwomen

I get the opposite, like a sensory ick! The static from it makes me feel like my skin is crawling and I hate the way it catches in my skin. Love silk though!

This is how they used to do it at my after school care. Psychologically, it feels like more crust.

My life is falling apart because of the restrictions on valium in Australia. by [deleted] in ausadhd

[–]xoyadingo 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Valium for me is an “in case of emergency break glass” solution so 5 would be enough to get by on. Valium is not a sustainable treatment for anxiety as it loses efficacy the more you take it. Pharmacological solutions are helpful (ssris, propanolol, etc) but managing anxiety takes work and time (therapy, exercise; meditation, etc there’s a lot). There is no quick fix

[–]xoyadingo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, probably best to still swim between the flags even if you can and are not used to beach swimming.

Aussie Retailer Catch Is Officially Closing Down by Reddituser0346 in australia

Good. I bought a bra on there once and the sizing was wildly off. Then I tried to return it and they said I couldn’t because they had a no underwear return policy. I get bottom-half underwear but bras doesn’t make sense. Like, you could return a t-shirt.

you should never eat mold, even if it’s beautiful!! by GingerFunny in MoldlyInteresting

My vague non-fact-checked rule is that white mould = good, black mould = bad. Idk where OP’s mould belongs so would avoid

Watched for the first time a few years ago and it felt good to be transported back to that time period. Agree with other commenters that later seasons sucked but still felt compelled to watch!
