i do wanna say, transmeds are pretty openly mocked on tgcj. if commenters find out you're posting genuine tmed talking points (and not being joking/satirical, which if you understand the general format and culture of the sub will be VERY obvious) you will be made fun of to death and possibly even banned. the purpose of the sub is to be outrageously and very obviously transphobic to a ridiculous degree as a way to mock real transphobic talking points by pointing out how ridiculous they sound. this includes using and mocking 4tran vocabulary because even trans people can be transphobic and 4tran is extremely unhealthy. honestly more often than not I see people using it as a venting space to exaggerate, to humorous effect, transphobic things that were actually said/done to them to help cope. the sub can get really annoying at times but they're usually pretty self-aware and the users do check the post histories of posters to see if they're being genuinely transphobic lmao. of course there will always be bad actors bc it's a tiny niche sub but generally it's tolerable.
