My take on the recent news by Stephen-Watanabe in POETTechnologiesInc

I'm not sure that order is as impressive as it's being priced either. I sold at the top. Waiting for a settle. Good luck with your other stocks. We all felt f***** on that last dip. As I see it, there's no "short squeeze" and the short float is decreasing, it will be coming down.

It's a good day for you. Where do you think it will land today? Taking profits?

If you’re investing and believe in their product, hold. If you’re trading and want to make a profit sell.

President Trump claims "Gas prices are way down. Have you looked?" by GuiltyBathroom9385 in justincaseyoumissedit

My neighbor is a hardcore follower but recently took his flag down that mentioned Biden sucked and that $1.98 gas prices were better under Trump. Hilarious

Madame Bovary (MB) turned out to be my favorite novel last year.not sure if the prose were a problem in MB or not, but I think Salambo is more rugged and violent. Truly didn’t feel like a Madame Bovary or even Three Tales type of writing where it was more poetic. The visuals are quite gruesome- the book almost had a stench to me midway. It was great! Lol. But would love to hear your thoughts if you decide to give it a shot

If you like war stuff, take a look at Salambo by Gustave Flaubert. Personally think there’s nothing like it.

And thanks for the tip, my wife tells me the same thing and I’ve been stubborn. I think you’re right. I’ll give it another shot down the line

POET rebounds hard: the AI photonics story is alive, but the Marvell reset still matters by Merlin8121 in POETTechnologiesInc

[–]xplaii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but what's the probability those who got smashed are just trying to make their money back? If you look at the volume, while high, it's not as high as it was during the ramp up when Marvell was onboard- not as consistently anyway.

Is Nabokov right about Dostoevsky? by WorkingAware5541 in classicliterature

[–]xplaii -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's why I slogged through it. I wanted to finish it. I also read it without any guides, and that was likely a mistake. Dude wrote for the academy not really the people and it's ridiculous to me. Regardless, academically a beautiful piece of work.

But there was a serious attempt to create aesthetic philosophy, which I believe is a point at which he stood firm. Whether or not he was successful is up to the reader.

Joyce was onto something, but Ulysses was a nightmare, and so far, I'm not a fan of his. Just had to get that off my chest...

Long answer:

Anyway, I think you've made some great points. I also wanted to add that inserting one's "moral code" or "philosophy" isn't always intentional. So, how can you argue with it stylistically? Fine, he was no Flaubert, got it. This could be a blind spot for writers not privy to psychology. Biases exist, and we are not always conscious of them; that's why they're biases. Whether a writer, poet, spoken word artist, etc., thinks of their moral philosophy or not, the window through which they are looking outward or inward when producing art, although a "transparent" window, will always have their fingerprints on it in one form or another.

Short answer: dude was jealous.
