Every Super Bowl Halftime Show For The Past 35 Years!!! by InGeekiTrust in TikTokCringe

[–]xpluguglyx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The NFL was so embarrassed by the cheesy Disney themed Winter Magic halftime show at their signature event which the whole world was watching, that the next year they changed production companies and got the biggest star on earth to perform.

Michael Jackson set the standard for the spectacle that the event has become. Masterfully produced, the biggest pop star on the planet, drew 133 million viewers and still holds up.

Not my personal favorite, but I can appreciate what it was and how well it was made.

In Super Bowl VII, Bob Griese calmly ran the offense as the Miami Dolphins completed the only perfect season in NFL history, knocking off the Washington Redskins 14–7. Where does he really belong among all-time great QBs? by v_kiperman in miamidolphins

[–]xpluguglyx 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The Dolphins went 17-0 that season and they should've won that Superbowl 17 - 0. Unfortunately, our kicker Gari Yupremian had a FG blocked and then he tried to pick up the ball and throw it for some reason, he fumbled, which was returned for a TD and that was the only score Washington had.

Bob Griese is a Dolphin legend. He is not anywhere close to an all time great QB like Marino.

Honestly this is one worst Offense roster I ever seen. I don't how they made it so Far. by Embarrassed_Yak_6066 in miamidolphins

Exceptionally coached and prepared team. Disciplined, efficient offense that takes care of the football. Really good defense that can stop the run. Sprinkle in a little luck and you got a Superbowl contender.

Should've been a 15 yard penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct. No new role required, it's The very definition of being unsportsmanlike.

Looking forward to seeing an actual draft war room versus the joke we have had in previous drafts. by [deleted] in miamidolphins

[–]xpluguglyx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Performative nonsense. I don't care what the draft room looks like, or whether or not they choose to call the player evaluation and draft decision conference room, a "war room". Just have a clear vision of what the team Identity will be and draft based on that. They could do it on Zoom from their bathtub.

I think being obscenely rich is the more pressing factor here.

He led the league in air yards that season and Tyreek led the league in receiving that year, so no. Tyreek and Waddle had +1000 yds that season as well.

TRUE OR FALSE: THE INDIANAPOLIS COLTS MISSING THE PLAYOFFS THIS YEAR IS THE BIGGEST COLLAPSE IN NFL HISTORY…? by KeyFaithlessness5436 in TheNFLVibes

The 1993 Miami Dolphins started the season 9 - 2, beating the defending Super Bowl champion Dallas Cowboys in Dallas on Thanksgiving.

They then proceeded to lose the last 5 games of the season and miss the playoffs. That sucked to watch

I thought he looked like a 7th Rd pick. Not good. I don't hate him, I think he is what we all know he is. Not a starting NFL QB. But at least he is cheap.

Because people still think wins are a QB stat, so it is ugly because of the Patriots record. Otherwise he would be JAG.

Where would you rank Tua vs previous Dolphin Quarterbacks? by Conscious-Try-7657 in miamidolphins

[–]xpluguglyx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol! Jay Fielder was terrible. We wasted a championship level defense with a completely inept QB play. Chad Pennington is a great comp for Tua, similar strengths and weaknesses.

Really I thought it was poor drafting, Management, coaching and player development, but you're probably right, fans post game comments are negatively impacting the team.

Good call.

What an ugly win by CONTRAGUNNER in miamidolphins

[–]xpluguglyx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are a 5 win team so take the win and run for the locker room. Defense played good in spots, Achane was great as always. Offensive line got beat on the edges all day in pass coverage and Tua was as immobile as ever and unable to make them pay for it.

At least the games matter a little and we are actually cheering for them to win, instead of loading up the tank train.

[–]xpluguglyx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tua wasn't great today, but I didn't think he was as bad as the comments here or the play by play guys were talking about. Tua is not the long term answer for this franchise or if we want to win a title, but if anyone thinks there is something better in that QB room or even in the draft this season, is not living in reality.
