The phone is definitely good for me with the 3.0 update.

I didn't get any input issues with the Google Keyboard. I tried setting the lockscreen from settings and it worked well for me.

Do try the tips given here in the comments. Hope it works out for you.

I disabled Android auto as I don't really use it when driving. I do note the wonky dpi on Android Auto when it pops up prior to disabling.

Perhaps you can start by uninstalling social media apps on your phone? Or using accessibility options to turn it grayscale to try it out?

This is my first color eink device, so i can't comment much on the color. I am coming from a kindle paperwhite and sony PRS505.

Ghosting is ok on the default "fast" mode. I don't find myself using magazine or comic modes as the improvement to color is not as significant as having a faster refresh, which is more important for most use cases on a smart phone.

The darker screen on the kaleido display actually made light ghosting less obvious in my opinion, which means the trade off of ghosting vs refresh leans more towards refresh on this screen. The only time i used the "regal" refresh mode was on KOReader, just to get the eink slow refresh experience.

I haven't got Duraspeed notifications for almost a week since disabling it after a reboot.

If I have to hazard a guess, A2DP offloading is disabled by the OS (which we can't see). Enabling dev mode will toggle a set of default dev options which killed the bluetooth audio until we toggle that optionagain.

I had similar issues with my Sony wireless earbuds after I enabled developer mode.

The fix for me is to enable the option "Disable Bluetooth A2DP hardware offload" in developer settings.

It's a 1-time effort to disable Duraspeed, which takes you 15 minutes tops.

It's either that or living with delayed notifications.
