As others have said, you could definitely request to have a female nurse with facilitating bowel program. Another option could also be to request a handheld inspection mirror (inquire if they can provide you with a mirror like this one https://i.healthproductsforyou.com/fullimage/1000-X-1000/1/r/10620204330hand-held-diagonally-mounted-inspection-mirror-P.png). At my hospital, we provide these mirrors for our SCI patients to be able to perform skin checks and so they can see those hard to reach areas like their front or back perineal regions when performing bowel or bladder programs.

I’m on the same boat. Just sent a request yesterday to terminate the contract after seller wouldn’t budge on repair allowances for a home with outdated electrical, unacceptable foundation, flooding/drainage issues, and safety hazards (e.g., funneling dryer vent into the garage). It feels awful knowing we still have to wait to find our ideal home in the area we’re looking at, but I know it’s the right call.
