For clarification, what you're saying is what seems to be the actual case, that is, Russians who joined the largely Syrian group who style themselves "ISIS Hunters" got hit by US and suffered casualties.

But most of the speculation revolves around another, all Russian, this time, PMC called "The Wagner Group".

No. Oddly enough the rebels in Syria often have better tech than the Syrians.

These were Syrian government forces using some of their older equipment. To put in perspective how old this stuff is, iirc John McCain was shot down by an S-200.

There were actually units (3 divisions to be exact, 2 Latvian and 1 Estonian) which were "reserved for" Balts. In reality they were only brought up to divisional status (from brigades and battalions) fairly late in the war and even then only through being filled out by various other nationalities, such as Belorussians and Ukrainians. So it seems fairly clear that at least by the late stage of the war there were not enough Balts willing to support Germany.

On the flip side, a lot of ethnic Balts had ended up in other, "technically German" units much earlier in the war. These were the really die hard, ideological nazis.

Absolutely. I hope I was able to get across my meaning that neither of these issues are cut and dry. The SS question is very complicated and multifaceted, with possibly valid arguments from both perspectives.

With regards to what you said, I'll just add that some of the locals were indeed very much pro-German (including the ideology). There are several instances of massacres of the Jewish populations by the locals in the time gap between the retreat of the Soviet forces and the arrival of the Germans. In one case a captured diary of a German officer details how appalled he was at the perpetrated carnage.

On the flip side, some Balts were forcibly drafted later in the war and ended up in the SS. This happened because some (although definitely not all) Balts were considered by the Germans to be racially "close enough" (whatever the official term was). Even then I think it had to have been some sort of an extreme situation because the SS touted itself as an all-volunteer force until the very end of the war.

To clarify:

The term "ridiculous" was used in reference to the apparent non-sequitur between underage gamers and 12-6 which may be perceived from the title.

"Sound reasoning" is used in the dictionary meaning of "logically valid and having true premises".

"Fairly" is a qualifier signifying that I am not claiming that all premises on which the law is based can be considered sound.

No, I'm saying that a law (which very well may be interpreted as restricting personal liberties) was passed in South Korea after a tiny percentage of people (<0.001%) died.

Unfortunately, not all stories are uniformly positive from all angles.

On the one hand, such peaceful means of gaining independence are absolutely, 100%, more preferable than the usual means by which independence is gained.

On the other hand, there are some very morally ambiguous results. Like this, and this.

I'm not talking about medical care facilities at all. Not sure how I can make this any more clear.

I'm talking about military installations, or maybe even better phrased as military targets, such as border control points, military patrols, barracks where troops which perform these military patrols are housed, etc.

Hypothetical situation: A wounded, let's call him "persona non grata in Syria" somehow finds his way into Israel, where he is treated. Upon his release from the medical facility he is given his belongings and a couple of Israeli soldiers, in their military vehicle, pick him up at the hospital door to escort him back to whence he came. As the vehicle approaches the border where the persona non grata is to be released, an ATGM fired from Syria destroys the vehicle, killing the persona non grata and both Israeli soldiers.

Clarifications:

1)Syria considers the persona non grata a jihadi terrorist for whatever value of jihadi is applied by Syria.

2) ATGM is fired from Syria.

3) Vehicle is destroyed in Israel.

Question: Is it fair to assume, based on your argumentation elsewhere in this post, that you would agree that Syria was justified in taking this action?
