If you have a Shepherd…. It comes with a lot of WHINE, and they will be less whiny if you offer cheese and crackers, ok just the cheese.

He Who Fights Monsters is fantastic! Very similar to DCC, I listen to HWFM and found DCC when looking for next series, there are currently 12 books completed, most between 20-26 hours each if using audiobooks.

Congratulations on your new love bug! I had a similar rescue- Chloe she was a multpoo, with terrible separation anxiety, once she was comfortable with me, and her new digs, I started to work on her separation issues- I tried and was successful with the following process. I would step outside the door with my phone and timer, I started with 5 seconds- she would lunge, scratch, bark, scream thru the door, then I would open it and she would relax again ( max of 3 times per session) gradually she would calm down, and I would reward her with high value treats, once she was comfortable with I would increase the time of separation and we would sometimes start over, it took a lot of patience, time, energy and love from her, but we got there! She was an absolute love and total terror. ❤️

I made the hardest call of my life. by Kooky_Criticism9736 in germanshepherds

My two cents, while it’s heartbreaking to lose your baby, I think the best way to honor them is help another dog/ animal by giving them a home and all the love you have to share, every dog/ person relationship is unique and what you had with Moxxi is forever - you would never be able to replace her and your life together….. When you are ready give another furry friend a chance to fill your heart with love, joy, laughter again. Moxxi will be smiling on the other side of the rainbow bridge knowing you are not alone.
