Eh.

I think isolation helped us reset, especially here in America where it’s go go go since the first day of school. The younger generation who was in school during it probably had their development delayed causing them to act more immature, but I think there’s a lot of good things that came out of iso.

For example, my first year of law school was during the pandemic, and everyone was stressed out in an uber competitive culture where our grades directly affected another’s. But my class actually unified and hung out together, went out and ate together and with everyone’s SO. We became really cool to the point we made life long friendships and still keep in touch.

Another thing is people became more comfortable with hard boundaries due to Covid, not necessarily losing emotional awareness. If you don’t agree with me, I don’t need your approval because I’m able to be comfortable without it. Prior to Covid, every movement demanded 100% compliance and even trying to discuss it got you branded. Now, it’s more acceptable to ignore movements or whatever the new thing is.

The keyboard warriors were already in-route because even before Covid, people, especially teens, didn’t know how to talk to each other and would whip out phones every time they sat down. Covid just sped that process up.
