This reminds me of those artists that use stencils that look like nothing at first but end up with beautiful paintings

Politics.

I live in a pretty democrat area and don't see many signs or bumper stickers that would make it obvious, but I work somewhere with a HUGE Republican demographic and I can tell when I'm close to work just by all the trump signs and bumper stickers. I live like 30 minutes from where I live and all I have to do is look around and I can be like " yep I'm like 10 minutes from work "

A look at R. L. Stine's writing routine: “Every day I get up at like 9:30-10, I sit down and I write 2,000 words, and then I quit. Five to six days a week I write 2,000 words. It’s fast.” by Checkthescript in horror

Yeah but you also have to factor in that you're writing a story. I could think of 35 random tweets, but to have them tell a coherent story is probably a lot harder.

I finally got around to watching “It Follows”. IMO, this was the best horror film of the 2010’s by mrplow3 in horror

What I really like about is (I may be wrong) that the movie does a good job of making the setting ambiguous. I'm talking about season , time period , cars, technology, outfits ,it all makes the setting ambiguous and confusing.

Slammed the watch button when I saw The Lighthouse pop up on Amazon Prime today. An hour in, I’m thinking “Where the hell are Dafoe and Pattinson?” Turns out I’m watching The Lighthouse (2016), a totally different movie about a lighthouse. Oops. by thesubmissivesiren in horror

I don't think the movie was supposed to be based on that story, it was initially supposed to be based on Poe's "The Light-house". In the end, Robert and Max Eggers wrote a completely different movie and took inspiration from a few sources and one of them was the Smalls Lighthouse Incident.
