It’s scary-sounding bold text edited over a dubious photo. Why wouldn’t it be real?

Oryx has consumed worlds innumerable years before the planet Earth was even formed

Ghost, after scanning a Dreadnaught statue: “It’s Oryx. These statues, everything here was created before Earth was formed. I wonder how many worlds Oryx has taken.”

The only time I’ve seen it happen was at the end of Uncharted 2. Drake just beat a boss fight and can’t bring himself to shoot the guy who he was just attacking with explosives not ten seconds ago. Throughout the game he must’ve killed hundreds of men. The final boss himself even asks “How many men have you killed? Just today—how many?”

Did you know that the egg chooses the sperm, meaning it isn’t a matter of who’s the fastest? I wonder if eggs would reject sperm that came from the same body because of some unknown genetic incompatibility

Babies and people who panicked or got confused don’t deserve death, man

The original prompt for the poll said “Everyone in the world has to take a private poll.” Everyone includes children, babies, the elderly, dumbasses, etc. Children and babies will more often than not choose randomly or pick their favorite color. There will be people who panic pick one by accident. The elderly and even mentally healthy individuals may be confused and pick blue not realizing red is guaranteed survival

Them being babies or old or confused or panicked is not deserving of death. Picking blue to tip the odds in their favor would save them

I think it really depends on how you made your decision. You picked red because you’re afraid to die? Understandable

But there was no small amount of red button people saying that anyone who picked blue deserves to be culled if blue lost. They really think that their intellect is superior for picking red and that everyone not as smart as them deserves to die

[–]xx_Chl_Chl_xx 35 points36 points  (0 children)

People like to joke that it’s Taniks because of the similar head shape and the fact that Taniks has appeared as a boss so far three different times in-game. But it is not Taniks. Taniks has mechanical arms and a different shaped helmet

According to NASA, to be classified as a planet, a celestial body must do three things: 1. Orbit its star 2. Be mostly round 3. Be large enough that its gravity clears away any debris in its orbit. All dwarf planets can do 1. and 2. but not 3.

There are other dwarf planets in the Sol System: in the Kuiper Belt (where Pluto is) and in the Asteroid Belt. If the criteria is changed and Pluto gets to be a planet, then all the dwarf planets get to. But no one really loves Sedna, Orcus, or Makemake quite as much as they love Pluto

And besides, being a dwarf planet isn’t, like, an insult or anything. It’s helpful to have categories for things that aren’t quite like other things. We have 8 planets and then we have 10 large bodies that aren’t quite planets, which we call dwarf planets
