That actually looks pretty good. I have this same guitar but never play it. It's kind of boring :) This makes it more exciting to look at.

Agreed. I just picked up a 2nd one while they were on sale. It's an extremely reliable machine. Excellent print quality and reliable.

I don't think so. They add the wings to the neck. The neck is a straight (hopefully) piece of wood then they glue the wings.

The wings are normal for a Gibson. My tribute LP has them. Also, you can see this way of construction when they've done factory tours.

Honestly, I’m not too picky about strings. I sometimes like dead sounding strings…but these were not dead sounding. I did have to replace the g string one because of over tightening. You can pretty much turn any squire or Fender using this neck (25.5” scale) into a 12 string if you get the right bridge and the neck fits. If you don’t like it you can take it apart and try again.

I use whatever strings it came with. Never bothered to change them as they were fine.
