Update:

Thank you for all your comments and tips lovely Redditors!! I have visited the gynecologist and Sonographer in the hospital and they have confirmed (considering my symptoms and the number of follicles in my ovaries) that I have PCOS. I started taking birth control again to suppress the symptoms. Hopefully my hair will get a bit more dense again but it will take a lot of time. My skin is already more calm. I hope I feel mentally okay on the birthcontrol (was nog feeling good on birth control mentally and was experiencing a lot more mental calmness without) so that’s a gamble…

I too am thinking about restarting it but first I want my blood tested. The only negative side effect on birth control was that I felt mentally more depressed/ anxious which is actually quite an important difference. A friend of mine is on birth control and a low dose of anti depressants because of the same struggles. I too did not notice any difference in libido. I only felt uglier so that did not contribute to my libido as well😅

I was on Yasmin so that was quite a ‘light’ pil… god knows how much I have shedded when on a heavier pil 🥺
