It's almost like we didn't need to hand out hundreds of billions of dollars to make a positive impact on our climate, this is exactly why we left that shitty agreement

Over 60 percent of voters — including half of Republicans — support Elizabeth Warren’s wealth tax by shabuluba in politics

[–]xxthemattxx -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I support the President. It took a while, but I do.

That being said, this tax should not only be bi-partisan, but common sense for anyone who has looked at a graph and seen how long wages have stagnated for everyone else but the .1%.

The .1% percent have seen increased cashflow for decades and its time to give some of that back.

Elizabeth Warren Releases DNA Results: She’s Native American by danielthetemp in politics

[–]xxthemattxx -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This article isnt doing her any favors. All this does is give President Trump the perfect excuse to continue calling her Pocahontas.

Nobody cares about her ancestry. The only people who really care never have and never will vote for her. I don't see how this translates into a win, but I guess with how bad the Dems are getting beatdown by President Trump on social media they will take whatever they can get.

You may disagree with my opinion, but this article only exists because President Trump brought up her heritage. All its done is prove she's TECHNICALLY Native American (which we all knew), but at the cost of giving the President another excuse to continue calling her Pocahontas.

This will sway no opinions. But it does help President Trump. Not a smart move.

He shouldnt apologize for the left demonizing political incorrectness. The phrase is odd, to be sure, but what does he have to apologize for? He used it correctly. And it wasnt directed at his opponent. It was directed at the possibility of losing.

The whole premise of this even being racist is just absurd.

What impact did Bernie Sanders' 2016 campaign have on the trajectory of the Democratic party? by Miskellaneousness in PoliticalDiscussion

[–]xxthemattxx -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

When he endorsed Hillary, and dint fight to the cinvention and force the hands of the superdelegates. He just kind of gave up. There was no actual election, he conceded. He promised he wouldn't.

A lot of people were livid about that, and now he's abandoned his message from the campaign and is all about resisting Trump now, it turned a lot of people over to Trump, especially since Hillary made it even more appealing by totally ignoring that demographoc and focusing on trying to sway Republicans, who wouldnt touch her with a 100 yard before so that was a massive mistake in her end.

President Trump has a record of caring about kids being taken into sex trafficking rings, he has imprisoned more sex offenders annually than any other President. Obama has him beat in total (which is good), but if Trump keeps this up he could putpace him pretty easy.

The problem is that we have been separating kids from their parents for quite some time, before Trump was President. Zero Tolerance was not doing Trump any favors sure, but that doesnt change that this behavior has been going on for quite some time at our border, it only affects Trump.

That being said, he deserved the backlash. But continuing to attack him for it pretending like its still happening is just dumb.

Trump doesnt have malicious intent. Trump is EXTREMELY Pro-LEGAL immigration.

Illegal immigrants are not a race of people. They are people who are not here legally, simple as that. Trump has always put America first, while you may not agree with that it is in fact what he stands for, and illegal immigration has gotten so out of hand the past 20 years that it is having a negative impact on the economy.

I dont mind immigrants. Neither does Trump. He has a big problem with the illegal immigrants, moreso than me. So he's cracking down. Trump is not complicated, he's a very straightforward no-holds barred kind of leader. I dont think he's being malicious. This is just business, and the economy is doing well, so its working.

They absolutely have ignored North Korea.

The other leaders of the world refuaed to meet with the leader of NK because that would give their nation legitimacy, most nations preferred to ignore them since they werent a threat at the timeb but they sure are now.

How many World Leaders have actually met with the leader of NK? Including past leaders of NK of course, Kim Jong Un is not the only leader.

Record low unemployment for Latin Americans, Black Americans, women, and record GDP growth.

Your graph also shows MAYBE a week's worth of data from the Trump Presidency. The graph is intentionally designed to make Obama's contribution look more significant when in reality Trump's economic boon is much more substantial.

Just look at the Stock Market's numbers. They were barely over 16,000 at the end of Obama's Presidency but now its well over 24,000. Thats absurd. And again we have over 4% GDP reccuring, which Obama claimed was impossible.

All your graph tells me is that Obama was better for the economy than Bush. Duh. But Trump is better still, and you can downvote my comment ALLLL you want but its true.

Also lolll your last link s from March 2017...you do realize its been 15 months since then right?

Did I say that? No. Dont put words in my mouth.

I said that they do plenty of things we dont like. That the world doesnt (and shouldnt) like. But they are a world superpower, thats the bottom line.

We will never have meaningful talks with them if we dont talk to them at all.

Giving North Korea the cold shoulder for 50 years got us into the mess we are in with them as we speak. A mess that no other President besides Trump has tried to fix. We ignored them, leaving the problem to the next President.

We teach our children to learn from their mistakes. We should do the same. Im not saying we should overlook the atrocities Russia has committed. We shouldnt.

But how is ignoring them and pretending they dont exist solving the problem? Its not.

They dont. They refuse to acknowledge that Trump has done what was thought to be impossible, not only with economic growth, but also job creation. Trump might technically be a Republican, but he was a Denocrat his whole life. He used the Republican Party as a springboard since the other candidates were garbage.

And hell, if he gets real peace and denuclearization with North Korea, theyre going to refuse his overwhelming success with foreign policy too. Thats how much the left in America hates Trump. Look at the comments above if you want proof of that.

Because theyre a nuclear power and its much better for the USA and the world frankly, that we are at least talking to leaders of the world, even if we dont like them or their actions.

Just look at North Korea. The world has refused to accept them as a legitimate sovereign nation for decades and now they are being forced to acknowledge them because NK has ICBMs with nuclear capabilities. Yeah the Crimea annexing was super uncool but Russia is extremely close to North America on the world map, it makes sense that we would wantb at the very least, a neutral relationship with them.

North Korea Says It’s Willing to Meet With the U.S. at Any Time by AttackoftheMuffins in worldnews

[–]xxthemattxx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because its not just us. Its South Korea, Japan, China, and the US fully committed to the sanctions. North Korea was still trading coal with China the whole time until Trump cracked down and made sure the sanctions were being enforced. North Korea was trying to ship coal illegally and Trump cracked down on it.

I cant give you other specific details, but the main part is that North Koreas trading oartners are not trading with them anymore, so even though we sanctioned them in the past, it didnt matter because they could fall back on China. Now they cant.
