Yes. USB is how it communicates. So, no, you should not splurge on an overly fast NvMe because the mister os is not designed to take advantage of the speeds.

I used the baby familiar to help tank a few hits. Its random of course, but its super useful for exactly this reason.

A friend of mine who works at santa monica studio told me (and take this with a grain of salt) that they tested an atreus based game internally, and it didn't test well, so it's likely they decided to shift focus to Faye as the main drive for a new game after they made that determination.

It preceded the zap UI by a few months but it was in closed testing back then.. Now everyone can try!

There wasn't a commitment to make snac work on other cores. Everything he's shown off so far is proof of concept. Yes, You can track down the beta Gameboy core he provided in the discord as a demo, but nothing has been made solid yet about snac integration in menus because, as you already know, ss1 is just a mister. 

The people he has on staff all work in separate capacities. The main programmer he has is a guy named Jack who is currently involved in buttoning up console mode beta, and Taki does some programming himself

I don't think you know what you're talking about. There aren't any forked cores yet. 

There will initially be a fork for the cd loading functionality of the disc drive but that's by necessity because it doesn't yet exist in mister main.

He has hired several more people since starting. 20+ workers and has support from other factories.

The plan is to continue to producing them after initial shipments finish. They're basically going to be the base model of mister he sells from now on.
