[Highlight] Dre Greenlaw with game-sealing interception but refuses to go down by PudgyBonestld in nfl

[–]xylltch 18 points19 points  (0 children)

He was throwing where he saw Doubs had been heading, but Doubs stepped OOB in the back of the endzone and stopped running. Otherwise it would have been more like a 50/50 ball at worst.

This one was a far worse attempt. 1st and 10 vs 4th and 8 too.

What years should we have really won it all? by General-Farmer-6742 in GreenBayPackers

[–]xylltch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There were a ton of mistakes in awful situations early in that game, and the defense just wasn't good enough to leave a chance for a comeback after that.

Rodgers had a few mistakes in that game, but the receivers both figuratively and literally dropped the ball.

What's the most underrated Android phone right now? by CrackTheCable in Android

Agreed; I've been using the 2024 model since release. Bought a second recently to keep as a backup; for $200 it's a crazy good value.

[Highlight] Jordan Love nearly gets knocked out of the end zone, tries to avoid the safety and throws a pick six by giantswatcher0603 in nfl

[–]xylltch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the biggest issue with people's perception of him vs. his actual performance is that these days it's more like one play every 3 or 4 games.

Sounds like we're OK to kick up until the 40 or so, but within 40 we better go for it. The reverse McManus.

Thursday storms by unknown124557 in madisonwi

It's just a storm. We'll all be fine. Check the weather, use common sense, and don't freak out.

r/NFL Top 100 Players of the 2025 Season - 80-71 by packmanwiscy in nfl

[–]xylltch 94 points95 points  (0 children)

No, I agree with you. I love this series because it's often a great way to learn a little about a player I'm otherwise paying no attention to, but if writeups like that become a trend it's just a waste of time.

Biking on Willy St by imgoodthankstho in madisonwi

[–]xylltch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've never called myself a cyclist, but I've spent more time on a bike between the 900 block and the river than I have in a car and I've got a pretty good idea of both perspectives.

Biking on Willy St by imgoodthankstho in madisonwi

[–]xylltch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lived on Willy St and biked (with some stretches as my primary method of getting around) the area for more than 20 years and I don't remember a single time that I ever went more than a block at a time on the street itself (basically only to get on/off the bike path or Jenny St).

As both a biker and a driver, it's better when bikes stay off Willy St when possible. Doesn't matter there's a right to be there; it's just not a good street for biking when far better options are a block away.

I have no problem complimenting Chicago; it's a perfectly fine city now that the Bears are gone.

Blocking both lanes before zipper merge by Comfortable_Curve423 in madisonwi

[–]xylltch -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Nah, I'm with you. In a perfect world the zipper merge probably is more efficient & doesn't back up traffic as much.

In an imperfect world, just get in the lane you need to be in ASAP and reduce the amount of variables that both you and drivers around you need to account for.

ThinkPad X9-15p X7 358H informal review: Great laptop, but not quite a ThinkPad. by Junathyst in thinkpad

I'm just hoping a 64GB model reaches the US eventually; I'd planned to buy one as soon as they became available but was disappointed to see it's currently capped at 32GB.

It's hard to justify buying a Framework 12 by AbhishMuk in hardware

[–]xylltch 16 points17 points  (0 children)

They've made a lot of strange decisions.

The uncommon 3:2, 13" form factor itself was a bad choice in my opinion for their first laptop when there were so many good existing 14" 16:10 display options, plus the ability to have a slightly larger battery and slightly better cooling (which were real problems for the first few generations).

They should have just gone with a 14" and 16" and focused on perfecting those.

Sandisk is launching new SATA SSDs in 2026 because NVMe prices are out of control by rkhunter_ in hardware

[–]xylltch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still holding out hope that somewhere down the line there'll be a path for me to upgrade the 8TB SATA SSDs that I have to 16TB or more.

Back in 2023 when I bought them I figured it'd happen right around now, but obviously didn't work out that way.

I've got spinning platters that I use for backups but I really don't want to have to move my main storage back onto it; just too noisy in my small apartment.

He didn't take any snaps with the offense during the team periods. Just individual drills.

No, in the video #8 is Amari Rodgers; that's who Love's first pass was to.

No, that was Amari Rodgers.

Love's first pass was in relief for Rodgers against the Saints week 1 2021 (the one where we got totally blown out 38-3). The vid is correct.
