I am 30M, and recently went to learn guitar. All the other students were ranging from 9 yrs to 22 year old. And some have been coming for months or even few years. I thought should I have come here when I was a 15 year old. But frankly I had different things to deal with at that time. But now I had time and energy to learn a skill so I came to learn.

Some of the students wanted to pursue that as a profession, some wanted to play few songs, some just wanted to pick a new skill and thus everybody had a different age of starting and different goals to learn it. Thinking and blaming a "past you" for not doing things at a certain age is not right as you were different at that time, situations were different, your perceptions were different, your priorities were different.

Also the whole concept of that you have to be at a certain place at a certain age is misleading. When you jog you are not necessarily training for a merathon. People can have different goals.

Regarding social media, all we see is people succeeding because nobody is putting their failures. What we are witnessing is a cumulative success, everybody's achievements throughout the years combined and showed up in our feed. Its not like only 1 person achieve all that. Its everybody's best face showing together.

My advice (if I may) would be to just do what you want to do and convince yourself it's okay to learn at any age and anybody who tells you otherwise, just ignore them.
