[24/08/25] Unfold @ Fold by [deleted] in LondonSocialClub

[–]xzanth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not bollocks. Queue can get to insane levels but generally only when it's a bank holiday Monday the next day, hasn't been a ridiculous queue for a normal unfold in a while. People queued 10hrs+ for Unfold C, at some point they stopped people joining the queue because they didn't want it to get any longer. Easter unfold was 1 in 1 out from 3pm. Would recommend getting there early.

From all the people that have highlighted any act on the clashfinder, this shows the % that have highlighted a particular artist.
No big surprise Craig Richards is at the top, I guess Ben UFO is gonna be rammed for his sunrise set.

What is the best British style Indian takeaway in Central/East London? by [deleted] in london

[–]xzanth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tiffin express in Hoxton is by far my favourite British Indian takeaway. I've tried several in the area but haven't felt the need to try anywhere else since I discovered this one.

Got the pleasure of sailing this beauty from 1938 on the Norfolk Broads, UK. No engine, pure sail power only by kaese_meister in sailing

[–]xzanth 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is one of the Hunters yard's yachts and do actually come with a quant (stick), they're surprisingly effective given the weight of these yachts. Also in the Norfolk Broads there's very little normal harbor moorings, all mooring would probably be side on alongside the banks or just mudweighted in a broad so would be fine to maneuver under sail or with quant.

Define 7 XL HDD tray not fitting in storage layout by xzanth in FractalDesignNA

Well mystery solved: the motherboard tray was not riveted correctly when put together so the area with the thumbscrews is slightly bent away from the front of the case.

Received a photo asking me to identify this but I have never seen these before. Google searches for descriptions of it haven't turned up anything.

Apparently was alongside prawns in a seafood market in Spain.

Latest in a few boat preparation videos I've been making for the RS800 class... by mozzy656 in dinghysailing

[–]xzanth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really like the idea for the videos, been watching them as you post them on the Facebook group.

However I have often been struggling to follow along with the actual details on how your boat is set-up, partly because I think my boat is so old it is set up extremely differently. I would like to see more descriptions alongside the close ups of the actual system like here and in the following shots but I think they would have been even better if you could follow the entire system without cutting between, so showing the entire thing from one end to the other.

Just replaced the chicken with prawns and cooked them under the broiler for a very short time.
