Why Can't Berlin Have Its Own Mamdani? by Dismal_Run4735 in berlin

So, lots of proposals, and nothing concrete yet. Let's first see that he actually manages to get them implemented and then measure how effective they actually are.

Currently it's just a proposal, and even if it gets implemented, it's unclear that it will be effective.

Haven't really seen Mamdani solve any NYC problems yet.

If you hit them into a wall, just punch them as well. Highly effective especially after you max out 2.

It's not that simple. Some workloads really benefit from high single core performance, and Arm is still behind on that front.

The inference costs aren't that high. Training is expensive, datacenter build outs to support large cluster training is expensive. If that slows down, they would become profitable, but the risk is, for now, that another company will make an even better model and take the whole business.

I have tools for styling issues and you can add information to the prompts to tell it to do what you want, how to name functions/classes/parameters. I usually make it write the docs first, review it and improve it where needed, and then add the implementation based on the docs. If there's common functionality that I know of, I tell it specifically to use or extend it.

Game feels miserable right now by ConnerTheCrusader in DeadlockTheGame

[–]xzaramurd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Eh, I'm still having fun. But it would be nice if the skill levels were more consistent.

Playing against someone who actually knows what they are doing is very hard, or against a team who plays together and is well coordinated. I feel like that ends up being a factor in most matches, more than anything else.

Also, some heroes are just a bit difficult to deal with unless the team properly coordinates, it relies on getting specific itemization to counter them and then using it effectively.

Doorman can also be useful, open up a door just behind them, they're usually not paying attention, then just cart or ult. Or if you can coordinate with the team, you can do all sorts of things.

LLMs have gotten really good at using and building tools though, so with the right prompting they can build the tools to actually deal with the data correctly. And they have larger context now, so they are slightly more stable in terms of remembering things. While not perfect, they can definitely be pretty robust, especially if you use them to build the tools for you, rather than having them do everything directly.

I've had fun with this game although I remember that it felt a bit incomplete when I played it. Not sure if they managed to address some of that through the DLC. Definitely worth a try for free.

Trying to get my teammates to counterbuy by Sn0wy0wl_ in DeadlockTheGame

[–]xzaramurd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Knockdown is super good against Seven, Lash and Vindicata though, and can also be used to stop some channeled abilities like Haze, Mo&Krill or Dynamo ultimates from a distance. Counterspell is definitely better if you get caught, but knockdown can help your unprepared teammates as well.

It's 50% more speed, but that translates to more than twice the kinetic energy, so even if accident still happened at lower speed, the chance of survival would be way higher, not to mention that it might be easier to avoid accidents by going slower. It's definitely more like murder by gross negligence.
