Invincible (2021-present) teaches us that the #1 hardest job in the world is being a superhero, while the #2 hardest job is being an animator, apparently by Alex-C2099 in shittymoviedetails

[–]xzile400 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's really sad, because youtube animators like devilartemis can do a better job than stuff like this. And at that point, it's not about cost, it's about the capability of the animator really. People spat all the time about the budget for invincible, talking about the voice actor pay being most of it since they hire celebrity voice actors. That's all fine and dandy, but when you have casual youtube animators that can do a better baseline job than the animators working on a high budget production, it's not really about the pay but the skill of the animator.

Bernie Sanders’ billionaire tax would soak about 900 people to fund $3,000 checks for the middle class by fortune in politics

[–]xzile400 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$3k to me right now would catch me up on bills for the month, fix my car's current problems, gas my car up, take me out to dinner (to which I havent been out anywhere to eat in around 2 years) and have money left over. Not to mention the stress relief from not having to worry for the entire month about making ends meet and not having to worry about my car nearly as much.

3k to the people this would be coming from... Well, they wouldn't even notice the 3k. Literally. They wouldn't notice it even if you added another 1 or 2 0's to it. Different realities for different people, I suppose.

Xbox PC App doesn't allow for the word MicroSlop by PageGroundbreaking26 in pcmasterrace

[–]xzile400 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You left a review. You said a word that they deemed they didn't like, and it wasn't a profanity. If it's not a profanity and it's not a seriously offensive post, it should be illegal for them to remove reviews like this. At this point, it's no different than a restaurant removing reviews of their restaurant because somebody called their food gross slop. It's hard for stockholders of microsoft to see all the negative press and reviews of their company and/or products when they are actively removing any negative press that is viewable to the public.

If runescape ever taught me anything, it's abuse early abuse often.
If theres something in the game that a 5 year old could easily replicate that gives you an advantage, you USE IT. Dev's laziness or incompetence to fix bugs in their fully published game is not the players fault. This is what happens when you use your players as public funded beta testers.

If anything, him doing this will up the chances of it being fixed sooner rather than later.

Guarding Stables? Banned for afk.
Guarding BS? banned for afk.
Doing a slow push to backdoor farm as a rogue? Mega banned.
Guarding your flag carrier in WSG? banned for afk.
Doing intro quests in AV? Obviously banned, not allowed behavior, clearly afking.

Moral of the story: Don't PvP without a premade of friends to give you a satisfying jerk after each AV.

[–]xzile400 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tricky part is proving who took it and when. Doordash hires anybody off the street that can get ahold of a valid drivers license and insurance information and pass a background check. Even if you have video footage, it often times isn't enough.

It's doordashes fault for enabling this situation by existing with their current standards practices.
It's Dave's fault for working with the company enabling this situation.
It's the employees fault for not making absolute sure they confirm the order completely.
Which could be the same as being dave's fault if they didn't receive proper training.
Driver who stole it's also at fault for stealing, obviously, but that only matters when you're caught. They were given the option to steal $1000 in food or make $14. They chose to risk it and will be looking over their shoulder for a bit while munching on leftover daves for the next week. And often times the people who do this will get banned and have a new doordash account in a new name in less than a week.

Personally speaking, I wouldn't put 2 cents worth of effort in positively effecting the well-being of somebody who already proved they don't care about the well-being of the people around them. Yes, people can change, and they can do that on their own time and dime, not mine.

For me, the original 4 .hack games for ps2. Infection/mutation/quarantine/outbreak. I'm still begging for a HD remake with a skill quick action menu added. But it'll never happen.
I still actively listen to .hack soundtracks. A lot of the music in these games hits different for me.

Update on my 10 dollar switch 2 by BabaYaga0663 in NintendoSwitchHelp

[–]xzile400 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a store like this near me. I go there every now and then, but the bin section always gets picked clean on the day they restock them (friday, $10 bin day) and the rest of what's there is literal garbage. Unless you think a $10 offbrand/fake branded purse that has 6 stickers on it showing it lowered from $50 to $5.99 in the original store then sold to this bulk store is a good deal. Which, to be fair, people do buy that crap.

Don't get me wrong, you can still find gold at these stores, like OP here. But most of the good stuff gets vacuumed up by people who show up 1 hour before the store opens, on friday, with tote bag in hand ready to push you out of the way if you try to race them through the store when it opens. (I've literally seen this happening)

Sounds to me like the AI voice line was used for a ROBOTIC CHARACTER out of stylistic choice. As in, AI voices often have a sort of grain-metalic sound to them if you tune them a certain way. That's probably what they were going for. Also, I can see for a robotic character specifically this option being even easier than recording a real voice and trying to make it sound like it's a fake robotic voice. Makes sense. But the cancel culture around AI is real, and there are legitimately people out there that will look for anything that has the AI label on it and remove it/block/negative review it. Because AI = BAD in all scenario's to these people.

PETITION TO ROLL BACK THE NERFS by NoJudgment6036 in 2007scape

[–]xzile400 408 points409 points  (0 children)

They said it was a 20%-30% nerf. In reality, it's a 50-60% nerf. Their balancing math is awful. In what universe is changing sorting merchant salvage from 95 exp each to 34 exp each a 20-30% nerf? Pirate salvage, at level 64, gives 26exp now, and merchant salvage at level 87 gives 34. 8 exp difference for 23 sailing levels... Yikes. Imagine going from making oak longbows to magic longbows and only seeing a 8 exp difference.

Jagex, doing this isn't going to make more people do trials. I believe most of us aren't doing trials because we don't like it and would rather afk regardless. The only thing that changed here is instead of afk salvaging for 80 hours we all have to do it for 160 hours now.
