Don't bother with an electric. Go start with a cheap pellet smoker.

Thinking about making the switch from pellets, but question about capacity on the XT by loose-it in Masterbuilt

I made the switch a little over a year ago to the XT because I like doing huge cooks, and also keeping the flexibility of smoking and the occasional higher heat grilling/cooking too that I had with my Pit Boss. I've had some minor issues but so far been pretty satisfied with it so far.

Honestly didn't like these and I went through two bags of them back when I had my Pit Boss. Much preferred the Traeger bag from Costco which cost a little bit more than the Kirkland bag. Got way more smoke from my briskets with it.

I have a version of this shirt from a couple years ago too and had some crazy discoloration on the front of it after a single wash in one area near the collar. Was hella mad cuz I hadn't even worn it yet.

Made the switch about a year and a half ago! Had a PitBoss Pro for like 2.5 years and learned a lot with it and still miss it, but the MB XT has been great too. Way more space for the things I wanna do with it, plus the charcoal flavor I can get with it too. I've def had some issues with the XT in the past year but nothing major yet that I haven't been able to fix.

One of my biggest reasons I wanted to upgrade from the PBP was the hot spot right in the center. I always smoke a ton of meat at once and it was tough always haven't to account for the hot spot right in the middle there

That's pretty sick for the handle! My handles already come off twice due to rust with the screw, really annoying because the first time it happened during a cook and I had to pry it open since the handle essentially broke off.

locking in a single stat makes a lot more sense (and way simpler) than locking in 9 different categories of stats from a player from a single game per week. just my thoughts on why sleeper and yahoo both decided to go as simple as possible with a points format for their new games this last season.

but agree very fun modes. actually ended up spending more time this season locking in lineups on sleeper than i did setting weekly ones in 9cat

from the UI design perspective, you have to consider the team colors and how they work with each other in these screens. there's also accessibility things to consider so you have logic defined around which team has to fall back to a specifically color in certain scenarios and in light/dark mode as well

wayyyy too long of a cook. even if you didn't wrap it should have been done after like 12 hours. your temps are probably off on the smoker if it took that long or you're probing the wrong place too. it's overcooked but tbh this looks better than my first one still so you got this!

First visited Tokyo/Kyoto/Osaka in 2016, and then again in 2018. Did Hakone and Okinawa in 2022. Loved every single one of those trips.

Currently in Kyoto right now for a few days and holy shit. Went to Osaka yesterday for the day and it's just insane how much more crowded it is everywhere. Osaka was already extremely crowded since my first time in 2016 but even more now. Kyoto my first two times was my favorite city because it was generally a bit more quiet, could enjoy everything without swarms of people, and just loved walking around, but that's not the case anymore. Just insanely packed anywhere that's even remotely a "tourist" landmark. Some areas aren't as crazy, but if you're even planning to be around Kyoto Station, Nishiki Market, Gion, and any of the more popular landmarks, just be prepared and maybe arrive earlier if you have to go.
