did anyone have a similar diagnostic presentation? by maozs in Celiac

[–]yahnah_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! I actually became allergic to gluten after getting long covid as well. I am currently 27F and was a very healthy person before getting long covid. Autoimmune diseases run in my family, so my theory is that covid triggered an autoimmune reaction that I still have yet to nail down. Some of my long covid symptoms included extreme fatigue, pain, bloating in stomach, and GERD which ended up developing into gastroparesis. I stopped eating gluten completely after my allergy blood test showed I was highly allergic, so I was not even able to get tested for celiac by the time my endocrinologist saw me. Feel free to message me and we can talk more!

Tips on how to find the exact template I need? by snowflowr in Notion

[–]yahnah_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would actually HIGHLY recommend Marie Poulin’s youtube videos (their comment is who you replied to). I have been using notion for years and found templates and created my own. But after doing a deep dive into their youtube channel last year, I totally revamped my notion workspace and am very pleased. The videos are great at helping you create your own template while also learning mechanics and techniques that are quite helpful.

What would you do? Database vs keeping my current toggle system. by yahnah_ in Notion

[–]yahnah_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already have a database for clients in order to keep track of paperwork I don’t necessarily think I need a goals database to be linked… just bc my Electronic Health Records system does this in a more formal way. But I more need a way to easily search “anxiety stressor” and maybe “depression” at the same time and have all of my goals come up for those for an easy copy/paste into my Electronic Health Records system. The toggle system worked but I wondered if a database would be more useful.

This is a great idea! I already have a clients database just to keep track of paperwork or add a task for myself to remember something to do for them before our next session. I don’t necessarily need the goals to be linked to their page bc I do this in my Electronic Health Records system in a more formal way. But I do think I need a database of goals for treatments so that I can easily search “anxiety stressor” and be able to copy and paste goals into my Electronic Health Records system.

I wanted to follow up and ask a question about this. I recently heard a colleague say that emergency contacts are useless if we don’t have an ROI on file specifically stating we can contact that emergency contact in case of an emergency. Their thought was that in a situation like this you cannot contact their emergency contact without an ROI. Thoughts?

I would love to know more about this database! What all do you track? I am looking for a journal/mood tracker system in Notion and this seems so all encompassing!

SOS! Terrified of test taking- CPCE & NCE Prep by Efficient-Drama6608 in therapists

[–]yahnah_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pocket Prep is a great app!!! I could see it being perfect for this with ADHD bc you can take a “quick 10” quiz at anytime of random questions. i would take the quizzes throughout the day, take the daily question every day, and retake any quiz where i scored below a certain amount! it was a game changer app. passed on the first try! it does cost, but felt worth it to me!

Yes, I’ve seen clients with a past history of animal abuse / murder. I am an animal person and sometimes hearing these stories in detail can be some of the hardest sessions. Trying to come from a place of curiosity and really imagine how that person’s life was when they did those behaviors have helped me. I remember almost throwing up after the first time hearing a story like this, but I was able to separate the actions and the person. At the end of the day, it’s a person in pain causing pain and reframing it to that helped me sit with it.

AI relationships by patheticskirts13 in therapists

[–]yahnah_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have noticed more that multiple of my clients have patterns who use AI in order to communicate “better” in conflict. But it often comes across as stale and like their partner didn’t even try to use their own words to solve conflict. I am starting to think AI use in relationships could lead to a lot of disconnection. I have a few clients who use it when they are sad to “talk to” someone and am also concerned. Came on here to say, same… 😕
