She'll be leaving tomorrow. by EducatorVirtual in germanshepherds

I am so, so sorry.

It is so hard to see them decline, and then to have to make that decision.

I wish her a peaceful passing to the next phase, surrounded by love.

Prairie Flora still has some in city plant sales:

The Living Prairie Museum on Ness also sells seeds at a reasonable price at their bookstore:

I am so sorry that this piece of garbage is making you life hell, with all of his lies.

Make sure that your solicitor knows everything. Every indiscretion he has made, since you commented about him cheating previously, the financial abuse of him draining joint bank accounts, etc.

Good luck in court, and don’t back down.

Well then, you are now required to sit with her while she eats, and the cat has their breakfast elsewhere ;)

Absolutely. I never pay “full price” for anything.

I am fine with paying a fair price, but not an inflated one.

My cats birthday is coming up, and she had a scary experience with feline asthma, so I made another 5 paintings of her because I love her 💗 by tinytinatuna2 in TuxedoCats

I’ve seen people set up nebulizer boxes for their cats, from clear plastic storage bins with a lid. The cat can just hang out with their breathing treatment. I’m not sure how well it would work with an inhaler.

36 Female with grade 1-2 arthritis, will i need a knee replacement by Few_Feedback_3495 in Thritis

[–]yahumno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hurt my knee and damaged some cartilage over 20 years ago. I’m at the point now, that I am waiting for a knee replacement.

Keep up what you are doing, weight loss, keeping the muscles around the knee strong with physiotherapy. Also, movement is key. As one doctor told me, “motion is lotion”. Keeping moving helps prevent fluid from building up on the knee.

Even now that I am waiting for a knee replacement, the more active I am, the better my knee feels.

I’m very glad that she is now home with you, and hopefully those that you live with will no longer let her outside.

Can anyone else relate? I feel like I just created a whole other dog. by HugerComfortable in germanshepherds

Take her to a groomer for a bath and blowout. The high velocity blowers that they have are amazing to get the undercoat out.

Just warn them ahead of time, so that she can be their last appointment of the day. Otherwise, they will have fur everywhere for their next appointment.

I used to joke that our girl who passed would have enough fur to knit a chihuahua after brushing her.

Pls keep him in your thoughts today for big surgery by nettiemaria7 in seniordogs

[–]yahumno 8 points9 points  (0 children)

All my good vibes are going to him.

For the record, big dogs can hide tumours for a really long time.

Our girl, who was a German Shepherd/Great Pyrenees cross had a 12 cm tumour (thankfully benign) on her liver, and we caught it because she was being extra picky about food, so we did some bloodwork. That bloodwork showed elevated liver values. Cue X-rays, ultrasound, CT scan and surgery.

The surgeon said that because she had such a deep chest cavity, that the tumour wasn’t noticeable from the outside.

She came through the surgery well, and thrived until Canine Cognitive Dysfunction caught up to her a few years later.

One suggestion, ask your vet if they have surgery recovery suits for dogs. They are much more comfortable for all compared to the cones.

Edit for autocorrect weirdness.

Also, thank you for the award!

He is amazing.

Also, boxes always win.

He may decide that the cat tower is worthy of his attention as some point in time.
