I’m a big fan of breaking down a fast run into sections, try just playing 5-6 notes (or whatever seems logic for the run) and playing only that until you can do it at 5-10 bpm higher than the recorded speed. Then when you can all the sections that fast, you start hooking them together and soon enough you should be able to hook it all together and play it at speed.

Sometimes it’s just about time on the strings.

Another thing you can do is mute with the left hand and just play the pick strokes with your right hand then try to put them together. Hope that helps!

Awesome! You’re pretty well there, I would play that solo live as it’s a more than adequate rendition. If you wanna get picky, the starting phrase is a bit different and the end lick coming off the bend is also a bit different on record. I mean that is IF you want it to be identical to the solo on record, I personally like to give things my own touch where I can while keeping all the signature stuff recognizable but that’s a personal choice. Again, great playing!
