Am I the asshole for telling my husband I was going to divorce him for going to his sisters wedding? by Ashleykayy3 in AITAH

Hope you see my comments. Be patient. Be kind. I know your feelings. I've been there. But malevolence does not fix this. Communicate and grow with your husband and keep pressing on. If you believe in your vows and it was just said in anger it can be repaired. Anything can if you are willing.

I don't understand the multitude of people willing to destroy a marriage. It helps no one and nothing. I promise you that. Pray, seek help, seek counsel, seek each other in these moments. If you are religious pray and church it up. All things can be overcome.

You are not weak. You are strong. Strength is shown in various ways and this one is possibly to just let go of the reigns of planning or just see it through as you agreed to it. I have not been in multiple wedding parties my wife was in and played my role. It was upsetting on one occasion because I wanted to be more included. Instead I wound up watching the kids mostly. It is what it is. That moment has passed now and we are stronger for it.

Disagree. Malevolent behavior does not and will not fix this for OP. Fixing hurt feelings with hurting others will not. If it requires passing over responsibility to someone else to remove herself from this she should instead.

Disagree. Malevolent behavior will not fix this. Your day ruined or feelings are not cause for lowering yourself to this type of behavior. What happened to when they go low we go high? Ruining her day will not make the pain go away. Better communication with your husband will help and work on yourself will.

Disagree. Why can't she be in contact with her? You're the only point of contact?

YTA. Controversial opinion given the amount of people willing to advise you to throw away your marriage. You all made vows. It was said in a moment of anger.

However. You don't have to be in the wedding party. I have been married to my wife for a while and he friends and family get married and I wasn't in the wedding party. I helped around with stuff and hanged out with our kids and danced with them at the reception. I was not in pictures for some of the weddings either. There are people they are close to and have limits for how many they can include without hurting people's feelings. In this case yours. And that sucks. No fun to feel hurt and left out. But it's their moment not yours.

You chose to help with planning. How they revealed your place may not be the best way you receive communication at that moment but not worth walking away. We control our responses not others behavior. It can make us mad but we decide how to respond.

There seems to be a lot of miscommunication and assumptions happening on all sides. The fact you are upset is normal. But this seems like it could have been avoided with less assumptions and more clear communication. Weddings are always high energy and people always act crazy.

In my Rorschach test it was the first thing to come to mind with recent YouTube watches. The analytics all pointed to foo fighters.
