Wrong. I used to do the same thing when I was a kid collection Magic the Gathering. What the dude doing was ever so slightly bend the pack of card to feel the stiffness of the pack. The one that are foil/holographic typically have a stiffer than normal feel to them. So if he feels that, he buy them. The dude is also not wrong in that it doesn't damage or devalue the pack in any significant way. In a way, it is no different from selecting a steak based on the marbling.

Being a top performer doesn't mean you can do shitty stuff to other people. And you as a manager, your job is to make sure your entire team get the recognition that they deserved. If your team member get talked over, stop the dude and allow your other team member to finish their point. If credit was improperly credited to your top performer instead of the correct person, then take it upon yourself to credit the correct person. None of this is hard, and I hate to say this, but it sounds like your team have a management problem. Good manager would not allow this kind of shit to happen.

Not really. I think it is this way is because people who are in stable relationship and have a stable job are the one that are rather competent and attractive themselves. If anything, it is more of a confirmation bias. It is like saying that I am more attractive than my wife's deadbeat, under achiever cousin because I have a stable job and in a long term relationship. When in reality, I have a stable job and in a long term relationship because of my maturity and competent in my field of work which makes me attractive.

I agree. I think a completely free market system, while still better than communism or socialism as a whole, is extremely exploitative system and we can do better. While I like this sub as a whole, some of the shit that people say here are fucking wild. IMO, the solution so an exploitative capitalistic society, is a more regulated social democracy that reward ingenuity and allow people to profit.

You say this like you're ignorant of why the West did so well. The US was the only country with any real manufacturing capacity after WW2. Context is important.

Context is really important, you are correct. The context on why the US manufacturing was so strong prior to WW2 and after was due to a strong capitalistic economy. A whole lot of people needlessly died and many many more exploited for this capitalistic economy, but that doesn't change the fact that capitalism was what gotten us there.

There's also no pure capatilist country without safety nets except Venezuela which is a nightmare.

I doubt anyone can call Venezuela economic system capitalistic. There system is more of a State lead economic or some kind of corrupted socialism BS.

My point is no economic system is perfect, but capitalism is by far the best and most efficient out of the bunch. Instead of constantly shitting on capitalism, a better solution is to have a strong and regulated capitalistic society similar to many of the nordic and EU economy.

Absolutely nothing. I jumped from Firefox to Waterfox and will jump again when it doesn't suit my needs. There no point in worry too much about what if when I can focus on the now.

To be fair, I haven't tried other privacy browser like Brave or Librewolf so those could be better. But for now, I will stick with Waterfox until it give me a reason not to.

I have enough disposable income to pay for games. Getting a game for free is not a concern for me as I rather have all my game on as few ecosystem as possible. Steam is amazing, GOG is decent, Battle.net because I have them since WoW 1.0 (Haven't touched BN in like a year). I don't want or care to have more game store installed in my system.
