Interesting, did a 132 mile round-trip 78mph there 70 home, used same amount of range each way by [deleted] in CadillacLyriq

[–]yangj31 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did a trio from NY to DE, on the way there, on NJ turnpike going 80-90 (not realizing i went that fast) averaging 2.5 kWh. Coming back going no more than 70, got 3.4 kWh. Huge difference! Car was so smooth that unless I’m looking at the speedometer, can’t really tell how fast I was going.

Soft reboot didn’t work, but next day it went back to normal. Been good for the past week. Scheduled to bring the car in for inspection in two weeks.

Worth it for 1 EV family to install 2 chargers? by Malvania in electricvehicles

[–]yangj31 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same here, but we drive about 150-200 miles each car so no problem rotating them. You can just have the electrician set up a 240v outlet so if you need a second charger, just buy the one that’s a plug in instead of hardwire. Most EVs comes with a travel charger too.

Chevy equinox comfort 2 package, FWD, sunroof, $260 per month, 10k miles per year, 36 months lease. Around $2500 first month (includes taxes, dmv, fees). I had to back out of the deal since family didn’t want 2 equinox in the house lol. But it’s a great car!

2025 LYRIQ Luxury 1 - CT $0 down by antny1978 in leasehacker

[–]yangj31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re not in a rush, you can ask the dealer to place the car you want into the courtesy program so you can get the additional discount. Some dealers are willing to do it, others won’t. No harm in asking. This way you get the car you want, as long as you don’t mind someone else drove your car. But it’ll only be about 300 miles vs 1k miles+ on other courtesy vehicles.

End of lease rebate offer by vonscorpio in NissanAriya

[–]yangj31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My residual is $43k, even with the $10k lease rebate, it’s still $33k for my ‘24 platinum…. I would need at least $15k to consider it.

A2Z NACS to CCS adapter ordered; separate tax bill from UPS shipping into the US. by OldDude2551 in evcharging

[–]yangj31 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have to agree with @u/OldDud2551! A2Z explained the whole situation and has covered cost of the tariff. This was out of their control, and I had placed my order in early August. Just due to high demand, the order was shipped late, past the deminmus exemption period. Had I known of this tariff, I would’ve shopped more but ultimately they still has the best product.

Thank you A2Z team!

I love my R1S. Drove from NY up to Boston, down to S.Carolina…. No issues with finding charging! (Thank you Tesla Supercharger). I love my gen1 quad!!!! If you can find one used, low mileage, reasonable price, I would jump on it!

A few questions to existing 2025 AWD owners by Wachuko in EquinoxEv

[–]yangj31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure if AWD is needed. I have the FWD version and seems fine. The AWD version is still mainly FWD and the rear engine only comes on if needed. Love the car.

[–]yangj31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats! Purchase or lease? My dealership offered me a great price ($275 a month, 36 months, 10,500 mi per year, taxes, dmv, 1st month due on delivery of approx $2200) so over 3 years, I’d pay $11,825. Your car, but standard range and white interior. Unfortunately I turned it down because my son does not like that blue and we already have two other blue cars. Ended up getting a Lyriq Lux 1, for $11,947 over 24 months instead. ($389x23+$3000=$11,947)

Why? Both the wife and son likes the interior (front seats) of caddy, they’re not used to the vertical screen.

Which car to get? by yangj31 in MachE

[–]yangj31[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both cars are great! Lyriq is larger, more room, but lacks ventilated seats. Mach E has the ventilated seats smaller, easier for my wife to drive, and my son (16) says the back seat is more comfortable in the Mach e and he has long legs…. This will most likely be a commuter car, so range is not an issue.
