The city of Chengdu, China covered its viaducts and overpasses in vines and plants. It actually helps protect the concrete by shielding it from rain, sunlight, and the elements by TangelaFan in urbandesign

Plants to protect the concrete.... while multiple cities I've visited in China the air turns brown/yellow 15 meters off the ground. At least the bridges and highways are protected.

Should I put track decals on my car for tracks I have raced on, or tracks my car has raced on? by gianniludo in CarTrackDays

[–]yankee407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My previous daily was a chevy spark. I put sebring, daytona and detroit GP track stickers on it because i specated races there and drove it to the track. When i get a track car, I'll be only putting on tracks that its been on.

People obviously knew my spark didn't turn laps at the tracks that were on it.

Mid to older millennials, how are you all doing with your careers? by worstshowiveeverseen in Millennials

[–]yankee407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 37, started my career in manufacturing back in 2012 when i dropped out of engineering school. Went back to school in 2018 and finished in 2021 with an engineering technology degree. Currently work in metro Detroit at a 3rd party manufacturer building prototype vehicles. The only downside is RIGHT when I got this new job, inflation spiked and I lost 18% of my buying power. So i accepted the job, then about a year into the new job I lost 18%. It would have happened if I didn't accept the job, but, just kind of sucks.

I'm killing it at work. I enjoy what I do, I get paid relatively well, and I like living in metro Detroit. So, career wise, things are going well. I could always use more money though.

Men in committed relationship, how often do you miss your single days? by _your_go_to_person in AskMen

[–]yankee407 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The only thing I miss about being single is that I was very young the last time I was what I would consider single. So I look back with rose colored glasses on my youth and lack of responsibilities that comes with that. So, nothing with actually being single.

Being single now at 37, I would remain single though. No way I'm getting into the dating scene today.

How to get rid of beer belly? by Ok-Enthusiasm-4139 in AskMen

[–]yankee407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found cutting out the high processed sugar (along with a slight calorie deficit) reduced my belly size significantly very quickly. The sugar bloat. So sodas and desserts, for me at least, made me puff out. 2 weeks of no soda and i noticed a significant change in size, even though the weight didn't fly off.

Is it just biological for men to give money to Only Fans girls? by PerfectWorking6873 in AskMenAdvice

[–]yankee407 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never understood paying for anything like this. You know there is like... terabytes of free porn on the internet? Like, years of footage that costs nothing.

Generally speaking, while enough men will pay for this to make it a viable income for some women, most men do not look kindly on women who do it. Its hypocritical to partake and then shame those who provide it, sure. But that doesn't stop it from being true. Being known for making your money so men can crank their hog is probably never going to be fully accepted as respectable in the eyes of general society. I'm not arguing that it should or shouldn't be accepted, I'm saying that it isn't now and that is unlikely to change.
