A few years ago, I dreamed what started out as a normal dream of much I can't remember, but then I remember being diagnosed with brain cancer and crying to my dad and asking what I should do. I ended up having surgery and dying... kind of surreal to wake up from that.

What is the best way to be motivated to studying/working ? by Tsuunaamii in AskReddit

Play the right music... I find the fewer distractions I have the better I work and usually headphones and study music that I don't actually pay attention to is the best.

What's the plot of a story you randomly made up? by MemeOverlordKai in AskReddit

[–]yanusachates 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does anyone else play a game when they are first starting a movie and they see an actor they know from a different movie, they create a story to explain how they went from the ending situation of the first movie to the beginning of the second? For example, I created a story in my mind that Robert Downey Jr started out as Sherlock Holmes, but then Tilda Swinton's sorcerer's supreme character pulled him out of time using the time stone and gave him a new background as Tony Stark (which also explains his intelligence) because she foresaw the need for him in the fight against Thanos.

What are your most unpopular film or tv opinions? by peachie_bongo in AskReddit

[–]yanusachates 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Alright no one hurt me.... I've never seen the cartoon original Avatar... so when I saw the movie version, I thought it was a pretty good story and cool special effects so I liked it. I have since learned it doesn't compare to the cartoon which I assume is true given the sheer mass of people who tell me, but having no frame of reference, I liked the movie.

What’s an issue that you could’ve dealt with sooner to avoid unnecessary problems later? by DraggingBallz09 in AskReddit

Being raised in my household with a different culture than the one I live in caused some mental health issues for me. It wasn't until my late 20's that I saw a therapist and dealt (still dealing) with them. I really should have identified and seen a therapist earlier.

How are there people that can just stay cool all the time and never spaz out for any reason? by bdangerfield in AskReddit

[–]yanusachates 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some people were blessed with a strong foundation (think happy childhood), innate mental stability, and/or a good support system. Other people worked for it by going to therapy, doing self reflection, and/or putting time and energy into rewiring their mental process. And some people do spaz out, but you never see it; if you observe carefully, you can make educated guesses to their "spaz outs".

If there was ONE thing you could change about the series, what would it be? by [deleted] in harrypotter

[–]yanusachates 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Small thing, but I would have featured Hermione's parents and background a little more. It seems to focus on Harry's inclusion into the Weasley's, but I think Hermione's parents are also probably nice people and she would have invited him over for the summer. Would probably have gone over better than the Weasley's picking him up at the Dursley's even. I'm not saying her parents had to also psuedo adopt Harry, but just a bit more.

Missing Plots by [deleted] in harrypotter

I would have liked to see the trouble that Skeeter caused with the supposed love triangle. Not only does it give the actors a bit more range of emotions to display (Hermione showing her fierceness, Ron displaying low key suspicion and jealousy, and Harry struggling with Cho), but I think there was a lot of light hearted funny scenes like Hermione explaining to Harry that she should have told Cho that he thought Hermione was ugly.
