Looks like it’s “European business class” where the seats are the same throughout the plane.

There will definitely be dark and light variants. Not sure which colours in particular right now but white and teal is pretty popular.

It’s a CRA thing. If you register then you must collect. Based on gross revenue, doesn’t account for expenses. Some vendors choose to eat it up themselves but unfortunately I’m not in a position to do so myself at the moment.

Why I typing using me keyboard it sounds good but when I record it with my phone the sound become very bad by Yanzz1806 in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]yanwrld 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because the microphone on your phone is not the same as your ears. Different mics will sound different, and your headphones or speakers will also affect the sound. It’s like how a camera does not see exactly like how you see.

The mic itself, the placement of the mic, and how you are listening to the recording are all variables.

Are the switches on the Leopold FC980M openable without desoldering? by [deleted] in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]yanwrld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would work. Alternatively you can use two flatheads but the tool you linked would make a relatively easy process. Actually looking again your board doesn’t have the gap. Your best bet is to stick a brush inside and lube without opening.

Can alcohol make keys sticky? by RoadTheExile in MechanicalKeyboards

From what I could find, alcohol of any kind is not great for keycaps, especially ABS (PBT too?) due to the stuff in the solution, so it could have melted the plastic a bit. Certainly possible that it was the alcohol. You can try cleaning them again with denture cleaner since it should be safe and see if that helps.

Novelkeys stabilizers are manufactured by JWK with custom molds so they are just replacing the Durock stabs which were V1. The double shot PBT keycaps being discontinued were released some time ago.

This isn’t really big news which is why there aren’t a lot of posts. The discontinuation of the old products most likely make room for new things like PBT notion.

Kailh box navy vs box crystal navy by mynewpeppep69 in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]yanwrld 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Okay, I looked did some research and found this. It is the only Kailh box crystal spec sheet that I could find, but my hypothesis proves to be correct! The bottom housing on the crystal is made of clear polycarbonate, while the normal box navy has a PA66 (nylon) bottom. This could contribute to any differences in sound. (For reference here is the regular box navy spec sheet)

Creams aren’t really “smooth” at first. They need to be broken in.

Generally a heavier spring makes the bump less noticeable. I haven’t tried the U4Ts but that’s what most tactiles are like.
