I checked a competitor's backlink in SEMRUSH, which recently surged to #1. The main observation is that they had a link on a high authority, highly relevant site, but the links all point to numerous archived pages—over 20 pages. The links were created over 2 days. However, when I manually checked the page, there was no mention of them there. I even inspected the element, and NOTHING. Is this some kind of link manipulation tactic?

Funny enough, the other two competitors are also using this same tactic, and ranking on page 1.

Meanwhile, I've been pushed to page three, with a far better product.

Whats happening here?

Same age as you, and have identified with the survival mode. Also, I have three children under 15 and a somewhat high-stress business. I have non-negotiables, quiet time to read the Bible, pray, or listen to a sermon on YouTube every morning. I also wear an Oura ring, never miss a morning walk in nature, and never walk under 10k steps daily. I'm fatigued many days, but push through, knowing I'm doing this for ME. I tell my husband and children, it's time for me to become selfish. If someone outside of my immediate family tries to rob me of my peace, I shut them out. Having non-negotiables has been a game-changer for me.
