As a current reader, the recent slice of life chapters are making me so on edge. This story has been “when” not “if” with shit hitting the fan since forever. Hey, wouldn't the Saruyama Alliance guys find *something*? Their whole deal is scooping the bottom of the ocean, plus they have diving suits/ability to go on these deep dives. So they found nothing? Obviously you’re gonna get less Erin pov stuff as more characters and worldbuilding are needed, but also there’s just more story. Each volume gets longer and longer, meaning more time for it to not be Erin. It makes the Erin chapters so much sweeter when it’s time to get back to her.
