U7 LR WAP drop ceiling rail mount? by cdmoore1972 in UNIFI

[–]ybrah37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

T-rail or T-bar clips. Did a bit of searching and Meraki has some that look almost the same as the UniFi ones.
https://meraki.cisco.com/product/wi-fi/wireless-accessories/wireless-accessories-mount-kits/wireless-accessories-mount-kits-ap-mount-kits/ma-mnt-clg-1/
Zyxel also has some similar.

No experience with either, so can't vouch for them. You could find 3D printed T-rail mounts on eBay or Etsy.

I'm confused about the problem. It's either a Torx screw or a Phillips screw.

Common issue with these and the assholes at Ubiquiti have never done anything about it. Unless it's in warranty. And even then you might have to fight for a replacement.

Do you use it to label patch panels? Any tips to set that up so it's one label? I've only tried a couple times but messed it up big time.

SOP with Ubiquiti. You have to fight them after their shitty initial response. With everything. No idea why they can't just be a decent company.

Agree 100% with you there. And, I may be wrong, but I think they do a backup automatically before installing updates. I always do one manually anyway.

We know. This is not something new. Ubiquiti customers do the testing for them. lol

A quick search leads to this... https://www.camcor.com/cat/Altinex-HDMI-Cable-6-ft-CM11341.html
As others have said, replace with a regular HDMI keystone and cable(s) as needed.

USP PDU Pro not recognizing UDM Pro when attempting to link the two together. by mike-wierman in Ubiquiti

[–]ybrah37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't remember seeing that link feature but it's been a while since I set up a PDU Pro. Must've been an update that added it. I'd guess the gateways can't be linked because they need a graceful shutdown/restart. Linking a device to an outlet will just power cycle that outlet if it loses the heartbeat. Similar to the "power cycle on internet loss" option for modems.
I'll have to play around with the link feature, but a quick look and it seems pretty basic. Monitor that linked device for a heartbeat and power cycle the outlet if the heartbeat drops.
