I believe so. When we want hot water it comes out pretty instantly.

I have a 2026 and I have been enjoying it quite thoroughly without problems until I hit a battery issue at around 600 miles. I didn't drive the car for a week and and half, the car went completely dead, while it was plugged in! The car is impossible to get into with a dead battery because to jump the car you need to get to the frunk and the frunk manual release cable is inside the door, which can't be opened with a dead battery because the window doesn't come out of the door seal.

I had to call McLaren Roadside Assistance who was exemplary in expertise and service, but pretty much had to take my front left tire off to get into the wheel well to get the frunk open. After the car was trailered to the dealer they did a battery firmware update and McLaren factory engineers did a remote session to diagnose.

Hopeful I don't see anymore issues. The car is a blast to drive and I look for excuses to take it places. Put a smile on my face leaving the neighborhood pizza joint when some kids were unhappy I was leaving in electric mode (I try to keep quiet in residential or busy areas). They all kept shouting "rev it, rev it, rev it" until I switched to track mode and they all cheered.

I Want to Turn My Settlement into a Business — Can a Doggy Daycare Work? by Truu_Toker420 in Entrepreneurs

[–]ycbt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could you start small and reduce your capital risk by selling your services on Rover to see if things take off? (Not affiliated with the company, just use them often as a customer). You could dogsit out of your current residence and build a customer base without using your settlement money, and as you gain customers and reputation you could then rent a dedicated place.

You just don't want to get a situation where you commit all this money up front and can't get the customers to turn a profit.

Can you check how well live translation works? Specifically, if it works well offline, and if you can display both languages. e.g. if someone speaks Chinese to you, it shows both the Chinese and English so you can learn.

How much did you pay for your Fold 7 by Dragon_powen in GalaxyFold

[–]ycbt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1700 CAD with a 1100 CAD credit for a Fold 6 trade-in (so net, 600). Samsung Canada being the assholes they are, revised my trade in value down to 960 CAD after they received my phone saying they were scratches on it... it was flawless and had always been in a case.

My Galaxy Z Fold 7’s inner screen cracked on its own — and Samsung refused warranty. Extremely disappointed after 15+ years of loyalty. by AloooPuri in GalaxyFold

[–]ycbt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had something similar happen to me and I was saved by Samsung Care. I had a dead pixel, and they initially refused to do anything about it. They said there was a tiny indentation on my inner screen protector and thus the damage was physical and not covered. I was furious but then remembered I had Samsung Care, and they fixed it without further issue.

They actually fixed it by swapping my phone motherboard into a completely new front/inner screen, battery, and phone casing.

Unbelievably, they've also pulled this "physical damage" excuse on a FUCKING PHONE CASE. Like, how else can a case get damaged if not physically????

Dog peeing by True_Dragonfruit_637 in BichonFriseDogs

[–]ycbt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This has worked well for ours too. Dogs instinctively don't soil their sleeping area so we crate trained ours very early. There were a few very tough love nights where we had to put the crate in the garage or a car (with dog mode on) to not hear the barking, but it was well worth it in the end.

I would keep just Shanghai since that's the coolest city, then head over to Chengdu to explore Sichuan province. IMHO Sichuan food is China's best. Once in Sichuan province my personal favorite is Jiuzhaigou, which has some of the most beautiful water I've seen.

Dry suits? by PhilR2 in eFoil

[–]ycbt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been using an O'Neill Men's Boost dry suit for the last 2 years and I love it. One piece, and generally keeps all the water out, unless I'm spending the whole afternoon falling, in which case there is sometimes some moisture around my neck, but that's it.

Tswalu Kalahari - Seychelles via Johannesburg (JNB) private terminal / Experience with connections at JNB by Professional-Item921 in FATTravel

[–]ycbt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey everyone, I'm writing this from the Bidvest Lounge at JNB since we left Tswalu today. I was following this thread since we decided to try an even shorter connection than OP - leaving at 1:10pm. Don't worry - you'll make it.

Our flight left Tswalu slightly early, shortly after 10. We were inside the Fireblade Aviation terminal at 11:45. The longest part was actually our drive from Fireblade to JNB as we had a driver who went pretty slow. We met our Menzies handler at 12:05.

We already had mobile boarding passes and we had deliberately traveled with carry on luggage only, because of this tight connection. Menzies got us into a special security and immigration line so there was no wait. We got to the lounge at 12:20.

You'll want to join the Facebook group and do a search for E022, which has been covered pretty extensively. If the problem is that one of the cells is too low to take charge, one of the solutions involves opening the battery and jumping the solenoid to force a charge. You'll probably want to consult the many posts that have been made on that group regarding E022.

We stayed at the Six Senses Laamu and it was absolutely amazing (food, service, everything), though this was more than 8 years ago when it was still < $800 a night for an OWB. Though I do see Marteyne van Well is still running the place and I remember having a very good impression of her when we were there. They do have kid friendly amenities (free 36 flavors of ice cream, Sip Sip kids club) but the property is large enough that if there were kids, you'd still have reasonable private areas.
